Caller ID US Government, Alternative  Energy Sales call

They did not leave a message.  Caller ID said "Toll Free Caller".  Looked up number online, same number as EnergyStar.gov.  Are they spoofing the caller ID system?

Got another call from 888-782-7937.
Got earlier call with voice mail marketing solar power.
Pressed # on phone to remove from list per directions but got another annoying call this evening

Said they could  rid us of ebola or die trying.

Telemarketing scammer using fraudulent, spoofed Caller ID.

The US Government says "The Energy Star Program does not make telemarketing calls of any kind..."

yes they are spoofing legitimate government numbers

Caller ID is United States G.  I am a disabled vet and this is the caller ID used for my appointment reminders from the VA Medical Facility.  It is a solar energy company which happens to have a .gov designation.  They should be ashamed of themselves althought they probably could care less.  They call once a day and always leave the same message.  

Robo-call saying they are energy upgrade California. They farm for prospects and give the information to a local solar panel company for a commission.

Listen here, who ever is calling my number, I will find you and beat the living Hell out of you and I approve this message. Your telephone SCAMMING days are over. I am going to send you home crying to your Mama.

Just received a call from this number;  Didn't bother to answer.  The call went to my answering machine and of course no message was left.

888 782-7937 called.  Google says it is a www.energystar.gov -- obvious fraudster.

Caller ID said "U S Government" and was blocked but rang, at lunchtime, anyway
