Stupid scammer saying they want to cut my student loan, only problem is I'm retired and don't have any student loans!!

Yep same here.  Girl named Ashley Stone using reference number 45-839 from phone number 888-784-5467.  I paid off my student load 7 years ago so obviously a scam.  I did call thinking it was for one my children who are all in college, but the auto service is very generic and you can tell its a facade.

I received a call today, 10/14 at about 2:30pm..from Ashley Stone..left this number (888-784-5467) she left a VM saying it was about "the student loan"...I see others have received calls from this number.  Caller ID said from MO.

Thank you.  I just got the same call, and I know the company that holds MY student loans never calls.  you just saved me lots of time

Said her name was "ashley" and gave me a reference number to talk to her about changes in my student loans.  I believe its a scam, since the company that holds my loans never calls....plus they didn't give the company name

Called from 608-713-4945 per caller ID and left call back# 888-784-5467. Says needs to speak to me regarding changes tp my student loan. I do not have any student loans. Full ride to UCSD all paid via bank of Mom and Dad.

I know this is a scam, but I called the number, and asked to speak with "Ashley." It was very hard to understand the person that picked up the phone. When I told him we don't have student loans, and that I'd like him to remove us from the call list, he hung up. So irritating!!!

Call from 303-221-2503, voice msg from Ashley Stone, ref # 45839 regarding re-payment options for a signature loan, asking me to call 888-784-5467.  Same scam, slightly different message

Good old Ashley Stone. Great idea for a scam but I do not have a student loan. Yet one more stupid scammer to leave a message or a hangup on my answering machine. I smile when I erase the message and only wish I could erase the scammer with it.

Just called the SAME call all of you got.  Same reference number.  Came from 410-878-1218 which is a Baltimore number.

Yup, Ashley the scammer. Obviously THIS girl is trying to pay off her student loans, by working for some scammer. Too bad, "Ashley," I also am single without kids and paid off my student loans about 30 years ago.  :-P

Just got the exact same call, have received this message on my machine multiple times.  Done with this one, so I called THEM back.  Asked specifically for Ashley. "Sorry Ma'am, Ashley isn't hear right now, but can you give me your reference number?" Me: No! I want to talk to Ashley!.  They hung up.  I called them back, got a new guy, and he tells me again, Ashley isn't hear right now. (I know it is a robo, but wanted to give them a hard time) So I say "That makes no sense!  Ashley just called me!"  Guys says, please tell me your loan number.  I respond " Write this down!  There. is. no. loan!  Stop calling this number!"

I got the same call, same person with the same ref # and number to call.. Lmao! I also have no student loans and never had any. I am disabled and I was thinking could someone chave stolen my info or something and thought about calling to try to get it straightened out but nope. Not going to waste my time..  Because, it is obviously a scam. Thanks. I have been getting other calls from a number in NC too from some guys with accents but this one really had me fooled. Thankfully, I do have any loans or credit cards, cars, houses, etc. I sm disabled and refuse to do any of those so 99.9% of the time someone calls about money it is a scam.. And, I know it. Lol. Even my medical stuff I do not handle it myself because I have someone elses # listed. Lol. I hate all of these scammers thinking that they could fool me.

Voicemail, about a student loan that I do not have. Never had a student loan, never had any loan really. No credit cards, etc. But, Ashley wanted me to call and left a reference # 45839.

Yep, still the same reference #.  Ashley Stone called me a couple minutes ago but she called from Houston 281 454 7925, sure gets around!  Tired of this garbage, scam phone calls will be the slow death of phone calls altogether.  Time for industry and government to step in and clean this ^$%# up.

Got the message from Ashley Stone KNEW it was BS- Never had a student loan, don't owe anyone anything.
