Phishing call.
I didn't answer, caller (young, very white-American sounding male) left VM as follows:

**Indiscernible female voice heard in the background prior to message start**
"Ehh this urgent message is intended for Xxxxx Xxxxxx. My name is, uh, Mike. Service manager with AAC. Xxxxx I'm calling you today regarding the complaint that is being filed against you. Case number is 431-00293. Ehh Xxxxx we have tried contacting you several times with no response. This will be the final attempt. If you or your attorney don't respond to this call by contacting the firm handling your case documentation will be sent out to your address and/or verified *pause* place of employment. Phone number is (888) 784-5540. Please be advised this call is being recorded and it will be submitted as proof you have been notified."
**5 seconds of silence before VM concludes.**

Things to note:
- The number called me one minute prior but hung up after half a ring. I didn't pick up.
- They asked for my sister who is not at this number nor had she ever been.
- They used my sister's old last name; she hasn't had or used that name in 7 years.
- About 6 months ago I received a nearly identical VM most likely from a different number since I blocked that one after. At the time I talked to my sister and she said she knows about this scam because they tried it on her several times using her old last name.

Part of me is considering calling them back on a public phone just to screw with them.

Call originated from (888) 294-9217. The number they said to call back was (888) 784-5540

Extremely  Rude  people claiming for some documents have no idea how they got my #, they are a scam!!!

This is a scam. These people have been calling gor like 3 years lol! On and off. Different names, different companies. It is a fake debt collector.

Block them. It's a scam trying to get you to give them your social security number. I hung up. Scumbags!

"Hello this urgent message is intended for Xxxxxxx. My name is Stacy Garcia I'm calling on behalf of AAC. Contacting you regarding case number xxxxxxx dash xxxx and case number xxxxxxx dash xxxx. We have tried contacting you with no response this is our final attempt. If you do not respond by calling the issuing agent today at 888-784-5540. We will be forced to move forward without your consent. This is a time sensitive matter. Also be advised that this call is logged and submitted as proof efforts have been in efforts have been made to notify you. Thank you."
