Woman calls wanting the business owner. Saying they are calling on behalf of the state of Iowa on business development and growth. Wants to set up an appt to discuss this.  NOT!!!  They don't quit!!! They won't even say exactly who they truly are, only on behalf of so and so.

Same thing as Cat but he stated he was from the city of New York and he was a government agency. Pretty much gave me the run around, no straight answers. Told him we weren't interested.

American Electric Power Economic Development Dept. (Indicated they were a government department but tax payer based.)

Looking to speak to the party responsible for community expansion and growth (i.e. building new facilities, new jobs, etc...). They have several different territories and wished to set up a meeting to discuss working partnerships.  According to the caller this does not just revolve around energy sales and services since they work with both communities and employers.

Never identified himself or his company, but called twice back to back asking for different CEO's.

Nothing says "cold call" like dialing 2 different companies back to back....
