- DougFriend of mine last night had a pop-up on his computer saying it needed a complete scan. Gave this number to call, which he did. The fellow that answered tried to sell him a service to "clean up" his computer. Appears this is a scam. At least he didn't give the guy that answered his credit card number.

- Laura| 6 repliesI had a grey screen show up with an error code, along with a pop up screen that urged me to not shut down or attempt to restart my computer. It directed me to call this number for tech support. These screens were accompanied by a persistent beep. I called it, the guy asked me if I was over 18 and if the computer was mine (I found both of these inquiries odd but continued a conversation). He then asked for the error code and then informed me my computer has a virus. I insisted that could not be the case because I have a anti-virus program downloaded to my computer. When I told him the name he told me he never heard of it therefore it was not one that sufficiently protected my computer (this may be true because somehow they managed to hack my computer). He proceeded to tell me where not to go, quoted a large sum of money it would take to get my computer 'cleaned up', and told me it would take up to 8-10 days for other companies. HOWEVER, his company (I forget the name) offered a more affordable scan that would only take a couple hours. He asked if I was interested. Being a college student that would need her parents money, I told him I was going to look around before committing. My computer went to sleep and when it restarted the grey screen and notice were gone. Finding this sketchy I found this post while searching the 800 number. I firmly believe this to be a scam, BEWARE.

- BarbJust like the posts above. How were they able to freeze my computer so that I had to contact them? I couldn't do anything but do so. Why haven't they been stopped yet??? I also have an anti-virus but it didn't stop them. Who should be handling this? I,too, didn't give them any personal info.

- Margaret replies to Laura| 4 repliesThat's a lie, I find Jonathan to be extremely charming and he helped me out so much taking care of my technical issues. I couldn't have done it without Total Tech Support USA.
- martinI had the same thing happen to me but they explained to me why these things happen and showed what was on my computer and showed me how much the stores would charge me and decided to let them fix it because they were a US company and my computer is working just fine now.

Margaret - How pretty a picture replies to MargaretYou're a shill for the fake computer problem scam. Gunnar called you out, he's right, so move along. Forgot to ask. Did you ever get the rodent out? I guess even 3rd world rodents have to live somewhere. I think that's quite kind of you to share your cardboard box, with the view of the open sewer.
- Gunnar replies to MargaretNo need for that. My wife seems to think I'm quite alluring. As far as not knowing what shoving things up your nether regions go, I think you're lying. You obviously dish out BS for a living. What comes around, goes around. Your boss has been pushing something. You're just too stupid to realize it comes in a check with tiny digits & promises that never materialize.
My name really is Gunnar. What's yours "Margaret"?

Gunnar - SteveHad a very positive experience. They were very well informed and educated me on what can cause this, with no pressure at anytime, They were helpful and kind, I wish I would have called them sooner. Thank you TTSU for your help.
- PaulIt is most defiantly a scam. The rep. will tell you that your computer is corrupt with malware; not to hang-up until he can repair it. I spoke with a man who said his name was Peter R., he did everything he could not to get me to hang-up. Stay clear.
- Paul replies to LauraYou are correct, it is a scam. The same scenario happened to me. I said I would have to think about the $350.00 payment he wanted to charge me.
- SammyI had called this company...after a series of questions and diagnostics the technician clean up my computer.
My computer is now faster than it was when it was new
great job. Cost was a fair $300- Call type: Telemarketer
- JaneDefinitely a scam. Told my 86 year old mother they were Microsoft. No company or bank will email you requesting you to call them and then ask for information.
- Caller: Said they were Microsoft
