got a text from HONOLULU FCU stating:  Notice.  Unusual activity - Call us now at 1-(888)814-5706.  When I called the number, got an automated message telling me to enter my credit card number.  I don't have a credit card or an account at Honolulu Federal Credit Union.

I got the same message and I also dont have an account there at honolulufcu. I wouldn't trust this message if it is asking for your account or credit card number. Good thing someone posted this. Thanks.

Got the text message and it freaked everyone out at home.  We're in Honolulu so we actually called Honolulu FCU and they're closed Saturdays.  That's when we knew this was fake.

Got this message and others like it about four times since yesterday.

Careful total fraud!! You will get other texts in a row with different number to call back.

ditto.  Totally ignored it because I don't have an account with Honolulu FCU.

I received a call from this number on 30 May. It was a missed call. Did not call back. I called the National Do Not Call number a couple of months ago with my phone but I guess these guys don't respect that. I'm
glad these postings are up and from what I've read in the other comments I'm glad it was a missed call. I think we can call the NDNC number to report a number. I will try that.

Today my son received a text from 1-888-543-7924. Same basic requests. He did not answer.

Same here -- received same EXACT MESSAGE today, June 1, 2009 ..  I just deleted message

? why would ANY BANK SEND YOU A TEXT MESSAGE ?
