- Skeptical| 50 repliesI received a postcard entitled Parcel Pick-Up Notice in the mail today that told me to call "our Distribution Center" at 888-814-8493. It is not from the Post Office and I haven't ordered anything, so I am pretty sure it is a scam. There is no name of a company. It is presorted first class mail from West Palm Beach, Florida. "We can hold this package for ONLY 72 HOURS."
- LinedogReceived same postcard as Skeptical,Has to be scam!
- BubbaReceived the same postcard this morning.
- RyanReceived it today as well. I am in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. They tried to make it look legit by putting a "Package #" with 12 digits, but it's clearly a scam.
Don't call the number. Rip it up, or give it to the police or Post Office, maybe they can do something with it. - LC| 1 replyGot this fake PARCEL PICK-UP NOTICE (888-814-8493) ...as well as many of my neighbors. One poster said he called and someone tried to sell him something. Another poster on another site said he was called by this number and replied ... he returned the call and they identified themselves via a recording at the National Do Not Call List. They asked him to press 1 to stay on the list. After pressing 1,it told him he was REMOVED from the registry.
another poster mentioned he received a somewhat similar 3x5 note card in the mail ...he determined After a bit of research that this kind of mailer is a scam of some kind, a way for telemarketing companies to skirt the "Do Not Call List." If you call the number you will have effectively opened the door to telemarketers, they have the ability to contact you, since you have set up a "business relationship" with that company.- Caller: fake parcel pickup notice
- rb| 6 repliesI called the USPS Postal Inspector Service (1-877-876-2455) because I received the same "Fake PARCEL PICK-UP NOTICE" postcard that other people received. The Postal Inspector Service said to attach a note saying "Forward to Postal Inspectors' and put it in outgoing mail. Since they used a Presorted 1st Class Mail, US Postage Paid, from West Palm Beach, FL Permit 1002; hopefully the Postal Inspectors Service can put these people/business out of business for their fraudulent business practices!
- janelI am pretty sure it's a scam. It says "package #" with a 12 digit number and a "notice" on it so it looks important. I am pretty sure it's fake

- Also Skeptical replies to SkepticalI received the same postcard today March 13, 2014, in a suburb of Cleveland , Ohio. I called the number after hours to see what information I could get about them, but all I got was a recording telling me to call back during normal business hours. Then I found this site so I will be throwing the card out.
- Mia replies to rbI will also forward my card.
- Joy S| 3 repliesExact same card received yesterday, March 13, in Brook Park, OH (Cleveland area),
- lsI received the same card. I called the number and talked to someone on the phone and they told me I will receive an e-mail to pick up a free android tablet at a location that is convenient for me. I did give them my e-mail address. I did not receive an e-mail. I am taking this to the end to see what exactly it is. I am also reporting this to the Postal Inspector and my local police.
- Caller: didn't say
- SKTI received the same card several days ago. I live west of Columbus, Ohio. I am forwarding mine to the postal inspector
- MikeI received the same
- MattOne also received in Brooklyn, OH today, suburb of Cleveland. I get deliveries almost daily but I have zero record of what this would be or any expectation of any package arriving with any service that would render a card like this... seems to be a definite scam. "888-814-8493"
- Caller: 888-814-8493
- Curious replies to SkepticalCalled the number on the postcard. Automated message said "Thank you for calling after receiving your postcard to schedule your pick up of your free android tablet under no obligation to you......." I hung up.
