Received voicemail 3/18/20 saying they were Chase Fraud.  After asking for my card number, three digits on back of card, AND expiration date, I opted to call the # on card. I was told legitimate fraud alerts are only done via text message.

I got a text saying that there had been a charge on my card for $127 from Amazon. They told me to call the same number they told you to call at, but I waited for them to call me. When they did, it from a different number from which they gave me. Luckily I has enough sense to not give them my information.

This is LEGIT.  I didn't trust it either so called the Chase number on the back of my debit card.  There was indeed a money transfer out of my account that Chase's systems had flagged as fraud, and they were calling me to check on it (the transaction itself wasn't fraud).  Not sure why they didn't email or text they way they usually do.  Agree that the message sounds very suspicious for phishing, but it's not.  However, if you have any doubts, just call the number on your debit card instead.  It'll have the same effect.

hummm .... Not sure you should be making both "Be Careful" and a "It's Legit" claims in the same post. Seems shilly to me.

The only sensible advice is "ALWAYS call the number on the back of your card" since IF this number is "legit", it still can be spoofed.

Got a call from a different number saying it was fraud, right after I got the text message about the same thing.  Called the number on the back or my chase card, they said it was not a legit number for their fraud department

Phishing Attempt for chase account.  Call the number in the back of your card and you will find out there is no fraud alert on your card.  Do not give any personal information to 8888178073

I got two phone calls on two different phone numbers telling me to call 888-817-8073 due to fraud issues.  It sounded suspicious so I logged onto the Chase app and located the fraud number from their app.  I called that number and was advised there was no alert on my account and it was likely a scam or phishing attempt.  Do not call this number.

I called the number to verify a chq I wrote, it hit the debit card fraud department, than was latered transfered to customer service fraud. I provided my sin and full address.. they pulled up my account and told me the specific cheq number and amount in question. I wanted to double verify so I asked them to transfer me to chase private client. I questioned them a bit and felt it's legit. So.. either they have a very well established web of ppl to transfer to cover their phishing, or this is a bad design by chase... The fraud prevention sounded like a fraud call itself. Knowing chase, it's probably the latter.
