left two messages this week, providing an extension number: 4092 and a reference number I should tell them when I call back.  I have no idea who they are

I got a call on Easter day at 1:30PM from ARC.I thought it was not legal for them to call you on Saturdays,Sundays or holidays in BC ?The agent must be new and starving for his commission to be calling me on Sunday for a mere $300 debt.LMAO

ARC is a collection agency. if you owe money, they will call you... just pay your bills and you never have to hear from them!

it is NOT illegal to call on Saturdays or Sundays. Check the collection act in every province to find out the correct laws.

Just because you have the day off, doesn't mean the law says you don't get calls. Not all holidays are covered under the law... so just double check!

A collection company is calling my home number and the person they are looking for is not at this number. I'd love for them to lose the number and quit bothering me.

These people call all the time, even when I informed them they obtained our number through fraudulent means. They call family or friends claiming to be a company you ordered a tv from online and they are just trying to ship it to you but got your address and phone number wrong.  Then they call you asking for someone with a similar name and ask if you can confirm your name and number so they don't make that mistake again.  After that they call and you can't get rid of them; when confronted with the illegality of their actions they get rude, deny everything and indignantly say talk to you tomorrow and hang up.

I received a call this morning, for my son's father who I never see or hear from anymore which I've explained numerous amounts of times, but I re-explained the situation to this woman again. Then she started arguing with my getting angry calling the subject in question my "ex old man" and saying I'd obviously had at least a few relations with him if I had a kid with him. When I said, "sweetheart, why are you yelling at me, I'll definitely be making a complaint" she replied, "oh I am not your sweetheart do not call me that, now listen girlfriend I could care less if a complaint was made against me." To which I replied, "excellent sweetheart, you can can count on it" that's when she got much verbally louder and shouted "Good do it" then hung up on me.  Such a sweet lady lmao...but seriously I will make it my personal vendetta to get this BI in some major trouble...call and yell at me in the morning pfft and I'm not even the person she's looking for, this chick has serious issues!

Hmmm, It has been my experience that debt collectors don't give a damn about your serious life threatening medical health. It doesn't matter if you have no money because you spent all your money on medical aid. All debt collector companies are ruthless and only care about when they will get paid. Yes, I suppose they get many sad stories however; if the reason for the debt is because you're very sick then I believe they should leave you alone. I have no respect or kind thoughts towards debt collector companies. How is it that the Canadian Government can afford to pay for medical aid and surgery to immigrates however; a person that is a Canadian citizen born and raised on Canadian soil can go suck rotten eggs?
