I received the same email this morning!  I will NOT call this phone #!  I have checked my credit cards, froze some, and will check daily but no charge as of yet.

Got the same email. Fraud written all over it.

I received an email stateing the same. Windows Defender

got the same email and called the number initially.  The very polite young lady wanted my card information to "verify" the charge. I asked which card   the charge will be processed on and she said probably a Visa.  I asked which one?  She wanted me to give her the number.  ABSOLUTELY NOT!  Anyway i told her i will dispute any unauthorized charges with my credit card company and reporting it to the Federal Trade Commission...now they won't answer my call.  So sad because no one wants a 400 credit card charge and could provide the information without realizing whats going on.  Don't give them any information!!

Same exact email is what I got today too! Total scam-will be checking my credit cards too. This is so terrible. So much scamming and fraud going on!!

Received an email that indicated it was an invoice from Microsoft for 399.99 dated 11-8-21. I was to call 888-821-5149 if I did not make this purchase.
Big scam. If I call they will want  my Credit card #.
Not happening.

Same email but to my email address but someone else’s name.

Receuved the sane e-mail this morning.  When I called the number, it was answered by an answering machine.   I left a message that they are a SCAM- Conartist, and hung up.   I, then, put these guys on SAM e-mail.

I got the same email on August 11th but mine says call back in 72 hours (rather than 48 hours).  I didn’t call because “From: "Windows Defender Order" <microsoftsubscription86246@gmail.com>” does not look like a real Microsoft email address.  But I did worry for 2 days that I might’ve been charged $399-ish for something I never purchased, thinking when I get credit card bill later I’ll have to take the trouble to dispute...

So THAT’S what the end game is - I was wondering!  I got that email today too (8/30/2021)
