- JoanM| 1 replygot the same email and called the number initially. The very polite young lady wanted my card information to "verify" the charge. I asked which card the charge will be processed on and she said probably a Visa. I asked which one? She wanted me to give her the number. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Anyway i told her i will dispute any unauthorized charges with my credit card company and reporting it to the Federal Trade Commission...now they won't answer my call. So sad because no one wants a 400 credit card charge and could provide the information without realizing whats going on. Don't give them any information!!

- Jane replies to ElleI got the same email on August 11th but mine says call back in 72 hours (rather than 48 hours). I didn’t call because “From: "Windows Defender Order" <microsoftsubscription86246@gmail.com>” does not look like a real Microsoft email address. But I did worry for 2 days that I might’ve been charged $399-ish for something I never purchased, thinking when I get credit card bill later I’ll have to take the trouble to dispute...
- Sev replies to JoanMSo THAT’S what the end game is - I was wondering! I got that email today too (8/30/2021)
- BubbaGot the same phishing email today.
