This number called me from a another number 801-867-1503 and told me to call 888-821-5431. These people have called me before about DTE Energy and want me to call back immediately. The person who called is named “Barbara.”

I received the exact same call. Caller ID says Brittany but name on voice mail is Barbara.  Requested information from latest DTE bill. Did, not return call

This is a company by the name of DTE it is not the company DTE Energy. This company is trying to get DTE Energy customers to switch over to their company. This company is what is known as a gas choice company, they can supply a different rate for gas but since most gas choice companies are located out of state and do not have distribution available DTE Energy still bills for that so on the utility bill it has both companies listed, one for distribution and one for supplying.  A lot of customers are confused when DTE calls because they believe it is their current utility company calling. Please be aware and do not give out any of your information. DTE Energy does not call and ask for your account information when you call them they will have you verify information they already have on file to confirm it’s you.
