The caller stated that there was a serious problem with my gas bill. I should call at once to correct the problem. I did not call.

I got the same message, and did not call back.  You don't ever want to let them know they have a good phone number (they will sell uour number to other scammers).

"Samuel" called from 845-403-8009 and said there was a problem with my Consumer's Energy gas bill that I received in the mail. I was to call him back at 888-821-8061. I don't receive my gas bill by mail. I didn't call back.

I just received the same call from "Samuel"

Samuel told me to call him back immediately. I did not call him.

Call originated from 914-312-4038, "Sam" said to call 888-821-8061 about a gas bill statement.  Not sure what the scam is, but if you call the originating 914 number it is disconnected--so number is probably spoofed.  Called the 888 number using *67,rolled over to the guy said the call was being recorded.  He didn't say the name of the company.  I mumbled in gibberish, the guy turned rude and hung up.  Most assuredly they are up to some scamming activity.

Just an update--888-821-8061 now is "not in service."  Couldn't reach it when I *67ed it anyways.

July 27, 2018.  Same guy, "Samuel", must call immediately about gas bill. Said he is from Consumers. Just delete the call.

Same scam...called my mom and left same message from Samuel. Did not call back. Someone stop this guy!

"Samuel" just called me also saying to call immediately regarding my Consumers bill.  SCAM!

Same as others have reported.  Caller identifying himself at "Samuel" with Consumers Power left msg asking me to call back "immediately."  Fact that I haven't had a Consumers Power account in almost ten years was a bit of a giveaway.  How many others have been scammed by this punk and actually returned his call, I wonder.  NEVER return calls like this without doing a little detective work.

Said he was from Consumers Gas and I should call immediately. I did and they stated they were offering a discounted price. I have just gotten out of the hospital and not on my toes, sounded legit because I deal with Consumers. They ask for POD#  on bill. something clicked and I  pulled up # on computer and hung up.

Left a message stating from consumers and gas bill. To call back immediately. Can’t call back, disc. Number

Got a call from Samuel stating I needed to call him immediately at 888-821-8061 regarding the Consumers Power final notice he that was mailed. There never was a "final notice", and hinting of overdue pymt is a crock-  as I do ACH.  Can't image what an unsuspecting senior citizen would do if they got such a call.  They should have a law against this type of fraud.

Got the same call except from 845-403-8009.  "Sam" was calling about my recent notification on my Consumers gas bill and it was very important that I call him back at 888-821-8061.  I haven't gotten a consumers bill with a notification also, why not call from an area code and number from consumers.  Idiot!  BLOCKED.

I received a VM stating that there was a problem with my Consumers Bill and I needed to call Thomas back.  I called back and was hung up on...thinking it was a mistake I called back and Paul answered and laughed at me and hung up on me.    Originating number was 845-403-8009 but "Thomas" told me to call back on 888-821-8061.

I got a phone call from 'Samuel' saying to call him back immediately due to a notification on my gas bill. He called from (845) 579-8538 but told me to call him at (800) 821-8061. I did NOT call him back

Got a call from 845-579-8538: "(long pause) Hello this is Samuel calling about a recent notification on your Consumers Gas bill. Please give me a call back IMMEDIATELY with a recent statement sent by mail to 888-821-8061." I haven't had a gas bill in over 2 years.
