- Will againThis call received on my work phone. Silent call. I called number back on my cell phone and a recording answered as "Hello, this is Andrew...thanks for calling back. Hello! Hello! Okay, thank you!"
- Call type: Silent call
- Liliana| 3 repliesI had the same experience as the poster above me: received a call from this number, but when I picked up on the 4th ring it disconnected. I called it back and I heard almost exactly the same message "Hello, this is Andrew. Thanks for calling back. How are you today?" (and then, since I have it on mute and don't respond) "Hello? Hello? Okay." Then it disconnected.
I called it back 4-5 more times, keeping my phone on mute. Each time I did, "Andrew" answered. The greetings and things he said were slightly different on some calls, but basically every other call was almost the same: the first and 3rd calls were like the one I mentioned, and the other ones were variations of "This is Andrew. Hello? Are you there? Okay." It's definitely a recording which rotates what it says each time someone calls, so it's not as obvious that it's a bot unless you keep calling over and over to see what it says (which is what I did).- Call type: Scam suspicion

- KenP| 1 replyGot a call from a synthesized voice calling himself "Andrew". He asked how I was and I said "fine" and asked how he was and he said "fine, thanks". Then went on about some "Police Officers's BS Association. While he was talking his spiel I overtasked and asked if he was human or robot and he just went on and on as if I wasn't even there. I kept talking and he abruptly said "Ok, I'll remove you from our call list" and hung up.
His whole spiel is BS because this is a vacation home and I never give the landline number to any charity, and certainly not a "Police Officer's Association" because the law is a county sherif here and I've never donated. It'a a scam.- Caller: Police Officer's <some BS> Association

- KenPI forgot to mention: When "Andrew" was going on and on as if I wasn't talking he said "promoting legislative action to keep us safe" or some similar nondeterministic language. It's probably some PAC (Political Action Committee) for who-knows-what. Be careful who (or what AI bot) you listen to and believe.

- Vic E replies to KenPYes it's a robo caller for "Police donations" and can we count on your support to keep your neighborhood safe? The number that called me with exactly the same as you stated was 1-888-817-3684. They prey on the elder and need to be stopped by the Police..smh

- Liliana replies to Old Phone GuyYou assume I called back from my actual phone instead of using tricks like they do to mask my number.
