Called for my daughter. Said he is Mr. Thompson from CPC and it was urgent for her to return the call.

Not going to happen.  Sure it is debt collector, especially after reading the above.

Caller ID said 800 Service.

caller was trying to find a Katie has called my phone a number of times  I have a unlisted phone number so I am getting upset about all these calls I told him  I don't know of a Katie and I have never had a friend name Katie  how can I stop him from calling

just started to get  annoying calls from (888) 826-6019 saying his name is steve jamison with central portfolio control. HAHAHAHA SOUNDS LIKE A [***] BILL COLLECOR!!!  FUCKEM IM BROKE! I WILL CALL AND [***] WITH HIM.AHAHAHAHA

got a call from a steve Jamison with central portfolio asking me to verify my last 4 of my ss#  when I would not do so, he told me to grow up and that if I wanted the personal info he had on me, I will give him my ss#, I am not aware of any debt I owe so I do not think it is a debt collector.  Very Creepy!!!

This number belongs to Central Portfolio Control, a debt collector.  They called me saying I owed them $2,189.36. I told them that I payed my bill at the hospital and he told me that it was still outstanding in their system. I told them to contact the hospital and to get their system right before calling me again, which I know wont happen.  DEBT COLLECTION COMPANIES ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH, WHY WOULD ANYONE WORK FOR THEM!!!!!

a friend got a call from this number looking for me  dont understand who could this be said his name is paul

Called and asked for me then proceeded to ask me to verify my address. When I asked him to tell me what company he is with he refused so I told him I would not confirm or deny that information. He proceeded to tell me he had all my information anyway and he just needs me to confirm it.

I’ve gotten two voicemails now from “central portfolio control “claiming that they are a debt collector. They never mention my name in the messages but do mention the are attempting to collect a debt.

The thing is I don’t have any outstanding debt that would be in arrears or be going to collection. I monitor my credit score pretty closely so I don’t think anybody stole my identity to rack up any debt either. I’m certainly not going to call them back,  and definitely not giving them any of my personal information.
...Although if anyone’s thinking of filing a class-action lawsuit against them for harassment, let me know -I’m down for that.
