"Refractive dialer." Trying to sell some kind of calling software, and the voice on the recording echoes quite unprofessionally.  They do offer to remove you from their call list if you press "2."

They   called  the  answer machine  comes  on and  they  hang up. They do this  3  or  4 times  a week with different  numbers  and  only ID is Unavailable. This company is  either  a  fake  non-profit  group or lazy  political party robo call. This  and  other phones numbers from this group should not  be  trusted it is  100% scam. More  numbers to come  later. 08-15-10 @ 1:27PM

They claim to be calling from a Cattaragus County Bank about my creidt card and a third party using it. Funny, they called with a Canadian number this morning, and now this number. I have no bussiness with said bank, so I have to assume they are scamming. First thing they want is my credit card number, not going to give out randomly.

This is a scam. They claim to be calling from Cattaragus County Bank and a third party using my "card". They want to get your credit card account information. This scam was on the news. Do not give out any information. My suggestion is to not answer the call.

Received a call a couple of days ago from 1-234-567-890 claiming they were the Cattaraugus County Bank calling about a problem with my account. I don't have an account there, so I ignored the call. This morning at 6:12 am a call came in from 888-841-8296. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

This is a scam.  It's been going around Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.  I read it in the paper yesterday.  Some people are stupid enough to think everyone's gullible.

I got two calls from them and I have do not bank with them so that was a tip off to a scam. NEVER give out any info over the phone and if in doubt, call the bank if you actually have business with them. We dont so I knew. I did hear about it on the news too.  I agree some people will give out their info and be a victim of a scam. My husband though would have probably given out the info so glad it came to me instead!

These jokes called me 5 times in 2 days.  I spoke to a "agent who told me I was a a**hole and that i should know better than telling people to be put on a do not call list"  I asked for his name and he hung up

Likewise Refractive Dialer.  The caller -four times- refused to identify himself, simply repeating "Does your company do a lot of outbound calling or marketing?"

    Doesn't Matter
I got call from this number today, and it said that they put a block on my card because of a billing problem. The company name was "National" something. It is fully automated. No live operators are available. If you keep going through the prompts, they ask for your card number. Do not give it.

I got a call from this number, and declined it, and the VM they left was some automated message about re-activating my debit card. SCAMMERS!

While I am no longer a customer, I can tell you that this is the best and fastest dialing software available. They are no longer using independent agents to sell the product, which is why the caller was rude.
