Message said they were Verizon hoping to switch us back from Frontier. I doubt it, as we had no choice when the original change from Verizon to Frontier was made. Another site says it is a scam.

Just got a call from that phone number.  "Sam, from Verizon" wanting to know if I want switch back to Verizon from frontier.
I didn't pick up, so the msg was left on my answering machine.

Got a message from "Sam" with the same message as the others.  Guess it's a scam!

Calling Florida where Verizon sold to Frontier but this guy Sam offers to switch us back to Verizon. Verizon no longer offers landline, cable, internet in Florida so I am wondering how he can switch us back to Verizon. Big SCAM !!

Same as the others. Sam from Verizon saying he can switch us from Frontier back to Verizon.  Sounds "phishy"!

My old pal Sam says he can help dissatisfied customers switch back to Verizon, poor guy must not realize that he's selling a service that doesn't exist. Just endlessly calling people, trying to help them with an artificial problem, oblivious to the insanity that consumes him. #Pray4Sam

Same message, Sam from Verizon wanting to know if I wanted to switch back to Verizon, if my rates are higher, dissatisfied, etc.  Frontier BOUGHT all of Verizon's landline, internet and other services in Florida except cell phones.  There's no way he or anyone else can switch you "back" to Verizon.

Sam, called me but I have connections with the Govt. I had this sub-human varmint eliminated.

Sam called tonight( 6/23), with the same message about switching back......

"Sam" is making the rounds....friendly sounding voice saying lots of people are complaining about Frontier in terms of service and their bills (which are now so much higher than they were with Verizon) and he's apparently reaching out to people who HAVE NOT been complaining to change them back to Verizon?!  Hah.  Sam will be happy to switch service from Frontier but its anyone's guess where he'll switch your service to!

Got a call from “Sam” about 2 weeks ago who said he was a “Verizon solution provider” wanting to switch my services back to Verizon from frontier. I have been dissatisfied with frontier lately and decided to give Verizon a shot since they own the land lines here anyway. Sam was courteous and kind and everything he said has been true. I’ve been switched back with Verizon now for about a week and I couldn’t be happier with the level of service he has was given me. My calls sound clearer and my internet has less hiccups. Sam has done an outstanding job and I highly recommend him as a personal rep for Verizon services.

Yup, you guessed it… Sam called me again today about switching back to Verizon. Today I finally decided to take the call and talk to Sam. He was surprisingly pleasant and insightful. We talked for about 10 minutes and he sent me over a quote via fax showing me the current Verizon rates with the Verizon logo on the letterhead. I checked with Verizon who confirmed that Americom is indeed one of their platinum partner solution providers who is contracted to contact customers on their behalf. Now that I feel safe with who he is I am seriously thinking about moving ahead with the switch.

What a shill! All those 'glowing' comments. Now. . . if you know who called you. . . why are you here? Saying all these 'wonderful' things about your caller? Another question that answers itself.
