- TS replies to AnnoyedYes!! Saying I defrauded a bank and they sent me a letter in October to go to court but I never got it, when I told them that they did it was delayed in the mail. I told them they suspect and the lady got real ignorant after that. MAJOR SCAM!!!!
- Tired of these scamsSaid they were delivering papers on a debt from 2007 (paid in 2008). $3600. Or I could pay $1100 now and it would clear! Told him “NO”. Send the papers. He hung up on me. Said his name was Michael Lawson. (I asked lots of questions)
- Caller: Law firm collection
- Call type: Debt collector
- Scam Avenger| 1 replyMichael Lawson kept calling me so I finally called back. I was told that my mother had committed Fraud against Wells Fargo and they had sent letters and she was going to be sued. My mom lives with me and I control her money and business affairs. I asked for an email address or business address so that I could send them verification...yep, you guessed it, they hung up on me. When I called back, I was told they do not give out that information. I was confused because why wouldn't a legitimate business give out their information, especially if you are trying to resolve an issue? So when I called again (yep, I had time today), they kept putting me on hold then someone finally said I would have to do my own research to find out their business information!! Is that what a real law firm would do?
- Caller: SO & Associates Law Firm
- Call type: Debt collector
- B-Edwards replies to Scam AvengerSee posts above, this is a document delivery/debt scam. Since you talked to them, they are apt to keep trying from other numbers.
- AMGI had a call about being summoned for court. So I called to find out what it was I was being summoned for and it was someone telling me I owed a bank 3800 dollars from back in 2012 and that if I didnt pay the account I would have to appear in court and could be charged more. They called twice. Funny thing is he kept using my married name saying the account was opened under my marries name and I didnt get married till late 2013. So I knew he was lying. Be careful out there people are just ridiculous anymore.
- Lame scammers| 1 replyIt's funny how we all owe $3800. They sent me some fake letter saying I defrauded Wells Fargo and I was going to be criminally charged. The put my cousins name as a witness. Ummm they didn't do their research because that cousin was 3 years old at the time of this supposed fraud 🤣
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to Lame scammersIf they sent you a letter after calling you then what was the company name and address and why did you not include that information in your post?
- AGAPITO PELAEZThey called saying it was a second attempt to deliver some documents. They are a collection company trying to scam easy preys
