getting calls from this number. does anyone have a clue how this is ???????

The caller identified himself as John Davies, gave this # for me to call back. Says there is a legal action against me and if I do not verify my home address, the documents will be delivered to this address. Gave me a case #.    Wished me good luck.

Did not identify the company, said the documents had arrived in 'the clerk's office'.

Is this for real or is it some sort of scam? How do I find this out?

Got the exact same type of thing but a different name.  He had my name and address.  This sounds like a scam that has been going on for a while but with different 888 numbers.  I'm going to call anyways to see how they're going to try and scam me lol.  Will report back.
