Calls cell phone daily but doesn't leave message

calls daily without leaving a message

Calls for the last three days - no message.

There is dead silence on the line when I pick up and then a guy gets on talking really fast saying he's from Verizon and wants to go over my info with me.
Then he says he has several promotions that might save me money.
I asked him to remove my number from his list.
I'm not sure this is a true Verizon representative.

I had several missed calls from this number, so called back. Gentleman answers as if Verizon but there's an extremely noisy background as if not in a professional work environment with people laughing & talking & carrying on. He proceeds to ask me questions about my new upgrade to S8. After the 3rd question, it just didn't seem right so I hung up.
I just called back, 2:00 a.m., and there's a message saying it's Verizon & please hold for the next operator and then music played   Verizon does not have 24 hour customer service.
