I called back. It's Virtuoso Sourcing Group, a collection agency. Apparently I was informed that I have a $110 balance on a cell phone account I closed a year ago!! Asked them to send me a statement of these so called charges!

It is really difficult to comprehend why a supposed "legitimate debt collector" would continue to call an incorrect number. These people have called for weeks and while I have told them they are calling the wrong number, they call my house anyway.
Harassment will not make me pay a debt which belongs tp someone else.

I am relieved to find this web site which is informing me about these weird calls. I have been robo called many times by this number, but I miss them because I am at work. Today I finally was able to answer. The caller asked for a woman named____  ____who I dont know. Then the caller wanted my social security number so she can "verify: who I am. I already know who I am, but I dont know who these callers are why I am getting calls for this woman. I have this phone number for over 4 years. and I am not a woman.

Some guy called and asked for Linda. I told him he had the wrong number and he hung up. He called again a minute or two later and asked what my name was.  I hung up on him.

I am not telling some creepy, stalker, crazy person anything about myself!

With so many ways to fake numbers to caller id, I am not falling for any of it.  800 Service on caller id is NOT a real id.

Call after call from these people. They always ask for people by name whom I don't know.  Going to get a call blocker.

They must have me confused with someone else. Problem is they do not fix the incorrect information. They claim I owe money to Verizon Cellular. I have never used Verizon, been with At & t for over 10 years.
It hasn't yet occurred to me what the benefit is for these people to continually call the incorrect number.
I asked for documentation that the debt was mine. Of course they cannot provide such information because it doesn't exist. Yet, they call and call.
Soooo...I got a call blocker box and it works great. They have called three times today and my phone did not ring once!

The people in charge of this number started calling last week. They ask for a man I have never heard of. They accused me of being his mother or wife or daughter or sister. I am so very grateful for this web page that has shown me that there are, regretfully, many unscrupulous people who prey on the unsuspecting. Sad to admit that I feel better knowing I am not alone.
My phone company helped me block this number.

Well, they are still calling despite my telling them they have the wrong number for the man they ask for. They wanted MY social security number so they "can verify" who I am.  They are asking for a man. I am a woman, and always have been. I am not telling these people anything about me personally.
Got a new phone with call blocker, just for them.

Yes they keep calling my cell phone at least twice or more a day and never leave a voicemail. So I don't bother to answer cuz if it's important they would've leave a message. I am afraid of this kind of calls because I was almost scammed before which I almost give my account info for some kind of debts. Good thing I hung up on that one

I get a call religiously two times a day from this number and no one ever leaves a message.  Find it most annoying

they are scammers I answer they won't respond them when I hang up my bank account app pops up.

• The Do Not Call list is respected by legitimate telemarketers, but is ignored by criminals.
