    I received a call claiming to be SunTrust and asking me to call and giving a reference number and a return call number of 866-519-3479. I call SunTrust and their fraud department and the number is not associated with Suntrust.

    Actually, I verified that the number does belong to SunTrust Consumer Lending, but they had no record of anyone trying to contact me today. The call back number does not belong to SunTrust, so, someone was probably calling using their number to show up on caller ID.

    Okay, I tried one more department and, yes, the 888 and 866 numbers are both actually SunTrust.
