Pre-recorded message left on voice mail.  IRS tax scam.  "Officer Ryan Smith from I...R...S..."

I just got the same call John on my voice mail.. And yes, mine said Officer Ryan Smith- I..R..S too. I have been receiving these scam IRS calls for almost a year and I called the police in regards to this matter and they said, there is nothing they can do, I just have to ignore the calls they said.. At this point I consider this non-stop IRS SCAM CALLS, HARASSMENT!!!!! I can not believe there is not one person in the United States of America and I mean the Government to stop these people from harassing people. I get up to 6-8 calls a day. SOMEONE HAS TO STAND UP AND TRY AND FIND A WAY TO PUT A STOP TO THESE CRIMES- Harassment, Extortion, Stealing People's hard working money by threatening the hard working people of the United States, that they are going to get arrested and be put in prison. Some people believe these lies and give these animals there money. The IRS will NEVER CALL YOU, they would ONLY contact you through the mail!!

I have blocked this number but it is a recording that I owe the IRS...Scam crap!!

I got the same calls today, two of them 2 hours apart. "Officer Ryan Smith" on a pre-recorded message. TERRIBLE

I am getting repeated calls from this number,  and there is no one on the other end when I pick up.  It's annoying and I haven't the slightest idea of who this could be or what it could be concerning.

Keep getting this guy Ryan smith saying he is a officer from the IRS that there was a problem with my tax return SCAM

I've been receiving this same call about tax fraud suspected in my tax forms...

Has been calling me repeatedly. Leaves messages saying possible tax fraud.

Same call asked for my social over the phone after I wouldn't give it to him he got mad said his going to report me to the police and hung up. I called back and same guy answers as officer Ryan smith I then asked if he was impersonating an officer and he hung up

This is the second time today that the computerized Officer Ryan Smith called. "He" states of you cannot return the call then you have your attorney return it. I can see where some people would be confused and call back. Shame on these scammers!

It's definitely a scam.

Received the same call from Officer Ryan Smith, stating the same as reported above. Filing report with the IRS.

I returned a  missed call from this number,  got Ryan Smith.  Said I owed IRS.  I told them I didn't file a tax return & he asked if I made any money I with held from the IRS.  I responded no I did not work so he hung up on me!!!!

I received a call this morning from the same guy.

Saying that I did taxe inaction and fraude call back and man said this and said I had a warrant for my arrest and I told him that I haven't filled any taxes in the past 5 to 6 years.in the middle I am telling him this he hangs up on me this really serious they need to quit playing games on people like that.

You can report them to the IRS scam department.  They have a form to fill out on their website.

Same deal - Officer Ryan Smith - did report another call similar to this one to local police...they were surprised it took so long for me to get one...

I just recieved this phone call. Fortunately I did not sent money to them, but this phone call costs me $15!!!! Damn fraud!!! Hope someone can arrest them and put them in jail!
