They said they were with Microsoft.  Not sure who this number belongs to

we got a call from this number - supposedly from microsoft. some chick said my dad (who died last week) loaned them 20000$, which is probably just a big scam to play on a widow's time of need. she hung up on my mom, i called back and talked to some dude with a thick indian accent who claimed they were just calling about a service call or something. IDK. we don't need this crap right now. couldn't understand half of what they were saying.

I got a text saying our order went thru for 3900 - said same thing - Microsoft - I thought someone had my bank account number - thank you for posting - the first thing he asked was what information could I give him to varify the account.

They sent a text message to my phone saying they charged my credit card for $3900 when I called them I asked them what was purchased they told me a laptop I don’t know what kind of laptop cost $4000  after arguing with them for a little while trying to get information on what card they used of mine and who purchased the order all they gave me was a Robert from California ordered as well I need Robert’s last name and full address and all the sudden they couldn’t give me any more information.

Because the scam is that you are concerned that a charge was made. They want to be very helpful but they need your card information to cancel the charge. Never call these people back. Your card agreement tells you exactly what to do when a charge like this is made. You should read it and use it instead of arguing with crooks.

Left message saying a computer was charged to my Amazon account.  Obviously a scam.

Said it was a call from Amazon regarding a $3000 laptop purchase

Got the same call just now. Glad I looked it up here! Also supposedly from amazon.

Call was on my answering machine supposedly  call was from Amazon and  3912.99 was going to be charged to my account. For some type of service. Could not understand that part of the recording. That if I had questions to call this 888-886-9860.  Did not call back assumed it was a new scam call.

This number called a government office. When I answered the phone it was a robot claiming to confirm an antivirus purchase for 5 computers charging my card $799.99. They left the same number as a call back.

VM: "This is an auto generated message from Amazon.  You have just made a purchase of a Surface pro laptop and your account will be charged $3,912 and 99 cents.  For any questions please call (888) 886-9860."  The first thing I did was run the number on the Internet and this site pulled up.  SCAM.
