They say they're from an energy company (Titan/Tyson?) Sounds like a sales call.
The # showed up was different ..but when I asked them for their #, the lady gave me 888-886-9992

The company is called Titan Solar---They are a company that sells/installs solar panels. They  often call with promotions when your surrounding neighborhood qualifies to get solar panels at a much cheaper rate sometimes even free depending on the grants available.

So, let me get this straight... when you say "they often call with promotions..." what you really mean is that they often call in violation of the DNC list.

Probably. All I know is I purchased solar panels from them and have ended up on the same call list :(

This was a scam call from India. They were scammers trying to say that we owed money on our business account. This is the number they gave for their billing dept. This is not PG&E. The first number they called from was a random number and they gave me this number. I told them they were not calling from a PG&E number so he hung up immediately and called back from the PG&E Customer support number. He then couldn't tell me anything about my business account history or the name on the account...just the business name. He then said they would be turning off my power in 30-45 minutes if i didn't pay my outstanding bill of $1632.58. We are a full service Medical facility any Surgery Center...my cheapest bill is in December and that one is around $18,000. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!!!

Scam. Said they were from PGE and they were turning off my account. Was suspicious when I called the number and the same person who called to say they were turning off my account answered the phone. I don't actually have a Pge account - so go ahead and turn it off.

Caller Caution.
Today I received a call from (caller ID number ) 1-800-773-3077. And yes, it is CPS valid number. The Caller stated they "have sent repeated delinquency notices that our bill has not been paid for the last two months and now we are in the third month". I asked for our account number and he said he could not provide the account numbers so then I asked for the dollar amount of delinquency and again was told he could not provide the dollar amounts .So I asked the caller "what do you need me to do" (I was trying to see if caller was going to ask for mone). Instead,I was given an 800 number to call which is 888-886-9992 it is listed as Titan solar systems and they're trying to sell solar panels now why would I want to buy solar panels when somebody has to so deceptively try to sell them by saying and calling from a CPS number (?)that I am delinquent on my CPS bill I have reported this to CPS the Better Business Bureau and also to the management at Titan solar and now I'm putting it on Facebook for your protection.Titan Solar Systems Shame on you!!!!

Too bad you did not also report it to the proper people which would have been the FTC and your State Attorney General.
