- No Caller ThereI've received at least two calls from this company (noproblemppc.com). In both cases, I was told there was a potential customer on the line. In every case so far, when I pressed 1 to be connected to the caller ... there was no one there. Fortunately, I haven't gotten the pop-ups that others are reporting.

- Gregory| 1 replyI keep getting calls from (Captain John Harris from the United States Dept. of Justice). This number - someone seems to have sold my information after I tried to get a pay day loan on-line. Now i'm getting a bunch of these - notice other people are getting them too - they dial wait for you to answer and then say one or two words and hang up - real nuisance
- Caller: Dept. of Justice
- Call type: Debt collector
- Alfalfa replies to GregoryThis is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.
ABC News released an investigative report on this scam a year ago:

- Nina| 1 replyI started getting calls and texts from this number, another number linked to them (347-673-0638) and a restricted number. They call 4 times in a row. Even when I answer the phone and hang up on them, they call right back. They do this for exactly 4 times. They started at 1253am with a text and then at 1258am I got 4 phone calls. I missed them because I had my phone off but then again this afternoon they called again and I hung up on them....they still continued to call back. Said that they are responding to a request for insurance from me. NOT.
- Caller: No Problem
- in pa replies to Ninayes, we had the exact same experience. wonder if you had applied for obamacare-we had. could they have stolen our info?
