A total fuc*in joke...don't even bother returning their call.  YOU pay when you have the money...otherwise, tell them to [***]!

supposedly this guy called asking for my brother. he put my new (4 month old) number down as a reference. Not possible b/c I have not given this number to my brother. Something similar happened with a sister too. Collection agencies I think are now starting to see if they can find relatives to help get their money. D@mn b@st@ards.

I received a call from this company today at 8:30am EST.  The voicemail they left said that the collections agency has filed a claim against me, bla bla bla.  

Well, here's the thing.  I owe the money, and I want to pay it back.  When I spoke with the collections agency, they refused to take anything other than an electronic payment.  I do not have a bank account or credit cards.  I finally gave them the number of my Green Dot prepaid credit card...it's empty.  I've been wanting to use it as my temporary bank for the time being as I won't be living at home much longer.  

What can I do, if anything, to prevent the claim filed against me from going to the courts?  I have explained my situation thouroughly to these idiots.  I even requested they put the info given in my files, which shouldn't be too hard as they claim to record their calls.
