Just like some people said before, they call every three hours ON THE DOT- 8:06 am, 11:06 am, etc. They hang up before I can even answer. The sad thing is that I only used a resume building service and just found out that they sent my resume to Jobs.com among other sites. Be careful!

Thank heavens for my phone's ability to send calls straight to voice mail without ringing. I too made the error of signing up for Jobs.com.

STOP CALLS

SAME HERE! I get 8-10 calls a day from these people! They've been calling every day!

Applied for a job through Jobs.com last night.  Received two phone calls from this number, with no one on the other end, before 9:00 a.m.  How annoying.  Now I wish I hadn't applied for that job :-(

We just received a  call form 888-900-5417. Today is Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My stepson was on the other computer today and I asked him did he put in an application for Jobs.com and he said yes.We donot want us calling our home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This number keeps calling me at all hours on the weekend. I answered and whoever was calling (machine, person) hung up. I returned the call to complain and got the company's answering machine saying this business was closed. Some type of education something or other. At this point I feel harassed.

Why are websites allowed to abuse our cell numbers, and cost us money?  Why is there no way to stop sharing our numbers; even on what appear as legitimate web sites?  Jobs.com; careerladder.com, and even the more professional sites ALL share numbers.  Why do employer websites; where people are searching for jobs trying to sell college degrees, if we are looking for work we do not need calls all day from colleges we graduated from, only potential employers.  jobs.com and its associates need to have a legal cease and desist.  It is amazing that to get any information in the age of emails; we must deal with so many unwanted calls on our paid services.

This number has many people calling; even one person screaming about her court case with kids in the background from an 888#.

Please leave me alone, I have already graduated from college O.K!!!!!

Tired of the E-mails from domain: Job.com? Tired of Emails from: JobSeekerSupport@job.com?  

Well, you can trace any domain name by going to www.whois.net.

So go to www.whois.net and type in JOB.COM. You will be given the name of the domain administrator/owner and his/her complete address and phone number. You can write or phone and demand you be removed from their database/Email, listserve, etc. They will be shocked you traced them!

I also started receiving these calls(rings twice) after accessing the Jobs.com website. Took the advice of other posters here and forwarded to voicemail. I am on the Do Not Call registry! Irritating that they feel they can get away with this practice simply by piggybacking information from what seems to be a legitimate website. Maybe Jobs.com isn't 'legit'?!

You can sue them for about $500 per phone call for not taking you off of their list. So keep count and phone records.

This number calls me several times a day!  Usually when I answer there is silence and it disconnects. Please remove my number from this list or tell me how to report this!

I justed visited www.jobs.com & the next thing I knew my phone was ringing from 888-900-5417.  Strange...


The state's top attorney is lauding a government crackdown on the "robocalls" that seem to have a tendency to interrupt dinner.

"There are so many people who are just sick and tired of calls both to their cellphones but in particular to their landlines, and the new rule is going to prevent robocalls, automatic calls, going to your cellphone as well as your landline," Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said Wednesday.

The Federal Communications Commission said Wednesday that it will now require telemarketers to obtain written consent from people before placing a robocall. Written does not mean handwritten, though -- electronic forms are OK.

The new rules also eliminate a loophole that allowed telemarketers to place robocalls if they had an "established business relationship" with the consumer. Now, they will have to obtain consent even if they had previously done business with the person they want to call.

Telemarketers will also have to provide an automated way for people to revoke their consent to the robocall by pressing a few keys on their phone during the call. If this happens, the new rules require telemarketer to add the person to the company's do not call list.

Chicago's Citizens Utility Board said the move will also be a good one for the telemarketers.

"From the telemarketer's standpoint, it's less phone calls they have to make, it's less people who you're pitching who are never going to say yes," said CUB spokesman Patrick Deignan.

The FCC said it is not changing rules that apply to informational robocalls, such as airline flight updates, school notifications or warnings about suspicious bank account activity.

The FCC and the Federal Trade Commission already had rules aimed at preventing unwanted marketing calls. But the FCC said despite this, "too many telemarketers, aided by autodialers and prerecorded messages, have continued to call consumers who don't want to hear from them."

Have had 2 calls from this number within 2 hours. Never heard of them do not like being harassed by them.

I DO NOT use my landline for anything on the internet.. they just called my HOUSE 4 times IN A ROW.. 10 rings at a time, hang up and call back non stop.. I do not apply on jobs.com either.. this is highly annoying, and needs to stop. I never answered it, you would think they would take a hint.. its harassment. .. oh look, they are calling again right now. *grumble*

I am never using jobs.com again for any reason.  You would think people would stop calling if they call 5 times a day and it's ignored all 5 times...so irritating!
