- NCAnonCellUserGot text from 888-904-8461 saying “Your New York Life verification code is ****** (insert numbers). Please note this code will expire in 15 minutes.
I don’t have insurance through New York Life. I did not request a verification code from anyone today, or recently. Is this spam? Is this a badly typed email or input with the wrong @ .com, .org, .net, etc?
No clue. Just 100% this was not requested by me and no clue how to verify if it is real.- Caller: UnKnown Verification

- NimrodForward unwanted spam/scam texts to 7726 (SPAM) and let your phone service provider deal with them.
That number was set up by the phone companies to combat spam texts and they can shutdown offending phone numbers.
Never reply with "STOP", scammers will not honor the request (they have no honor to begin with) and it only verifies that they have texted to a valid number and a person who reads their texts. It will not STOP the texts and may actually make them more frequent.
Never click on a link in such a text as it may cause malware to be inserted on your phone, and even if it does not, just as with replying "STOP" the scammers will know they reached a valid number. - LMMessage prompted me to call back re compromised SS#

- FrustratedReceived two texts and two emails during the middle of the night and within 1 hour of each other with a passcode to kohls. Said to call Kohls Customer Service 800 564 5740 which is a legit number. I did not request any of the codes. Weirdest part is that I have a company I deal with and every time I log in to that account, you must request a code, and those come from the same number as these two texts came from.
