Says he from a lawyer then why use a 800 number also, if they were sue me why not go through the civil court.didn.t even send a certified letter through mail...something smells fishy to me

His name is Jason Greene and he was a lawyer called the law firm of Shepard and  Associates no one by that. name there

This is not a company based in the United States, to HANG UP ON THEM, DO NO RETURN THEIR CALLS AND DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING! In July, 2017, someone calling themselves Jason Green, an attorney from Shepard Legal Aid contacted my mother and said they were going to sue me within 24 hours for a debt I owed to the State of Mississippi. I contacted them and spoke to a woman who would not even provide me with her name, was VERY rude and would not even tell me the details of the debt, just wanted money over the phone right then. I told them I wasn't aware of owing that debt, but I'd take a look and I requested that they send me the details of the debt along with their own company information and I would review to make sure I owed it. I never received anything. For the past 4 weeks they have been calling my mother again, and finally today called my number, which they've had all along. They left me a voice mail again claiming to be Attorney Jason Green with Shepard Legal Services giving me 48 business hours to pay a debt I owed to the State of Mississippi or they would sue me and garnish my wages. They call me from 601-501-7876 and the number they tell me to call back is 888-905-1694. When I called them back, they never connected me with 'Attorney Jason Green,' but I spoke with someone named David Seigal. He said the debt was no actually with the State of Mississippi, but a Mississippi debt and I must have misunderstood the message. He said it was with Wachovia bank. I told him I had settled that years ago. He claimed it showed I paid part of it but never all of it and if I didn't to be sued that I'd better send them a paid in full letter. I reminded him that this debt was over 7 years old, and he said that his firm has 8 years to collect on a debt, not 7. I told him that it was illegal to try to collect a debt past 7 years but he repeatedly told me his firm has 8 years to collect it. I disputed the validity of the debt and asked for a copy of everything against me to be mailed to me. He refused and said they had already sent it and wouldn't send it again. Then he hung up on me without even getting my address. These people are preying on ignorant people who buy into their lies and send them money without knowing how to research to see if they legally owe the money. This company should be shut down in its track and any licenses they may have removed. I called back and asked for the exact legal entity name as well as their street address and phone number. He said all he could provide me was his email address: davidseigal@shepardlegalaid.com and a PO Box, but because of some financial business protection law he does not actually have to give me his physical address. I looked up the legal entity name as he spelled it for me, and it does not show up on the Mississippi Secretary of State Business Search website. I just called back and asked for their PO Box. Jason Green answered the phone and REFUSED to give me any mailing address, was VERY RUDE and told me to contact my attorney and DO NOT CALL HIM BACK. Yet, he continues to harass my mother over this debt that he claims I owe, but will not give me ANY documentation, nor a valid address where I can send a Cease and Desist Letter.

Same as the rest.  Jason Green calling from Shepard Legal.  This time it had a Bellevue, WA number on my caller ID of 425-533-2830, but left the same 1-888-905-1694 callback.

Thank you for this detailed information about these scammers. They've been continuously calling my sister and my mother for my wife's supposedly owed debt that is in arbitration. These people should be shot at.
