- Seth| 1 replyFor two or three years now the number 888-925-2664 has been calling me and my family members (some which I do not really even know or have seen in 20+ years) stating that they needed to serve me with legal papers by the sheriffs department. The family member which whom I have not seen in 20+ years called the number given to her with the case number given to her and talked to a guy named Bryan Freeman about this supposed case and he told her that it was a collection agency and that the case is a legal matter. This is really getting old and needs to stop as actual legal matters of course affects my family and is not something that needs to be thrown around.

- JMy mother received a phone call from these people. They stated that they were going to serve court papers, etc against me. I do not have outstanding debt (except a school loan). Before I called them back I checked my credit report to make sure that my id had not been stollen, and everything was fine. When I called them I told them that I knew it was a scam and that I would be contacting my local sherifs office since they were the ones supposedly serving the "warrant.". They hung up then.
- Idiots are on the Loose2/28/12 @ 4:10 p.m. received call from a young female stating she was from the Sheriff's office and that someone had filed a claim against me. When I asked her her name and what department within the Sheriff's Office she was with she said her name was Melissa Jones and she was a process server with DocuServe. I asked her why did she lie and say she was with the Sheriff's Office and she said she didn't lie. She said I could call 1-888-925-2664 and reference file #5298. When I questioned her about whose name was on the complaint made against me she would not answer me and eventually hung up.

If the person you are speaking to tells you that he/she is an attorney or paralegal, don't believe them. They're just debt collectors who have had no real training. Most of them have no idea what the FDCPA says.
FACTS:
1) In most cases, They cannot sue you for this debt because it is out of stat.

- JVThey contacted my son in TN and threaten him with warrant for his arrest if he didn't give them my contact Information,. They tried to say I got a credit card and owed over $2,000 in 2007. They told me the sent letters to my home. I never received anything for this company.I was on my lunch break, They told me that I had to settle with them or go to court week later. Didn't want to go to court so I gave bank number on debt card for payment to come out this Friday. Jokes on them, I now have all their information and I cancelled that bank card.
