- Caller: Jessica Roberts from Yorkshire Aquistition Group

Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

As well as the California AG’s Office: http://oag.ca.gov/ - mark donahue| 4 repliesI got a call from someone at this office regarding an account I didn't pay due to a divorse. They helped me by offering me a settlement I got the letter in my inbox within minutes and I was satisfied with the outcome. A lot of people writing bad things about collection agencies are just here to find ways to avoid their responsability of paying back what was borrowed. I am not gonna lie I was a little nervous at first but I called my original creditor and tracked the account back to this company so I knew I was indeed dealing with the right company. Paying back my debts one at a time is a good idea if your trying to fix your credit and get a fresh new start!

- Nope replies to mark donahue| 1 replyYou're just another low-life shill for these scammers. Per federal law, debt collectors MUST MAIL - via USPS - a debt validation letter within five days of their initial contact with you. Federal law states that the burden falls on the debt collector to prove you owe that money to the caller - not the other way around! Can you prove anyone here actually owes money to this scammer? No, I didn't think so. You can report to your bosses that you failed as a shill and now their scammy outfit is on our radar - good job!
- Gunnar replies to mark donahueNice try "mark". Get lost! You know we're going to tear your pathetic a** to shreds so save yourself some trouble & take a hike.
If this crew calls, DEMAND a notice of validation BY MAIL! As per federal regulation under the FDCPA. NOT by E-mail. NOT by fax. They won't comply & we all know why! - MJG replies to mark donahueWHY don't you shills ever learn? Posters here KNOW THE LAWS about collections.
NOTE: the typical shill's comment that others do not want to pay their bills. How pathetic is that? - Scott PThese butt nuggets changed their number to 844-429-9378. Called from an "unknown" number and told left a message that myself or my attorney needed to call immediately. Sigh, really?
- Caller: No name given, reverse looked up number

- LmThey are very rude unprofessional, liars and scammers trying to collect already settled debts. Don't fall for their tricks
- ByThese people are AWFUL. They are completely unethical liars! The first time they called me they left a message stating there was a judgement against the property where I live. I called since I thought this was strange since I rent. When I called I was told it should all be in the papers I was served. I told them I was NEVER served any papers - he fumbles with some paperwork & says "This has never happened before. Let me check one moment." then comes back on the line saying this was for a credit card debt - which I have not a clue about. I ask him to send me paperwork which he & his horrible colleagues have never done. I told them I'm happy to chat once I get some documentation but not only do they not send anything - they are downright pyscho. They call my work several times a day, they've spoken to my coworkers & shared this false information. They are also now calling my elderly parents & saying they have my social security number. AND just today I received a voicemail from a Diane stating "well since you don't think you have to take care of your legal obligations we're going to show you! We're sending your payroll department through a non-balantory process (what it sounded like at least)." - I have no idea what term she's trying to reference & neither does my friend who's a lawyer. These people are OUT of control. I've reported them to the California Consumer Protection Agency & now going to look into reporting them to the State Attorney Generals office. Thankfully my lawyer friend told me to let me know the next time they call me & he's going to call to give them a piece of his mind.

- CWG40I called the 888-926-0211 number and the lady answered Yorkshire, (mumbled something or other after the word Yorkshire). Couldn't make it out and when I asked her to repeat it she hung up. Clearly debt scamming operation of some kind.
The website give no indication they are engaged in debt collection and I can't find anything with the California Secretary of State .

Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand.- Caller: Informational post
- annoymous replies to TomYorkshire Aquistion Group has called both mine and my boyfriends phone numbers asking for him, saying he has a large debt (that he was unaware of) and needs to settle with them now or else they are going to press charges against him. Don't fall for their scams!!
