Not a scam. This is a company called K12. They specialize in online home schooling. Trying calling the number and you will see it is K12 not a scam and not a place trying to give you a free laptop. I know this I signed up for them to call me and didn't recognize the number.

Yes, this is a PA cyber charter school who called us back from this number after we put in a request for information about the school.  I believe the school's name is Agora.

This is K-12 and they are a legitimate business. If you visited their site and gave them a number, they will call you to verify that you are interested in their program. My daughter is enrolled with them and we are waiting for materials to get started. Depending on the state that you're in, the school name varies. For me, the school is called Texas Virtual Academy.

I received a call from this number as well. I had requested a call through their website, it is K-12. I am looking for information to possibly enroll my son. Since your child attends K-12, can you tell me how it's going so far? How long has your child attended? I've had a bad experience with another online school for my daughter so I am a little worried about trying another for my son.
For my daughter the school work was just too hard. Mostly because it was all virtual, which makes it  more difficult to learn than if you are in the classroom.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

For the first time I actually got a call from a legitimate business. Granted it isn't something I am interested in, but wow!

Hi-I normally don't respond here but your question deserves an answer. My son has been in k12 since 7th grade. He went back to brick and mortar school for the first semester of high school and now he is back in k12! We love the flexability. There are class connects for students who need that traditional teacher setting-the kids can chat with each other and the teacher has access to really cool tools to make your computer screen her smart board! I worked at an intermediate school (4th thru 6th grades) for six years. I wish every kid could go to school this way. There is no bullying!! We are completely pleased with K12.
