1st voicemail from a month ago, addressed to my maiden name(married 25 yrs): She claims that I committed a felony by attempting to obtain a loan on a closed account thru National Loan Co. and that a warrant would be served for my arrest. A second voicemail from yesterday, 4/19/2018, same number: He says I have 2 felony charges, requested info & SSN, threatened warrant served at my place of employment.    They claim to be out of TX but my research shows that they are based in GA. I've lived in Iowa all my life and other than my 25 year old mortgage thru USBank, and a couple of IA GSL student loans, paid off 28 years ago, I've only ever obtained loans thru my local Credit Union.

Warrants are criminal matters which are handled by the police and the District Attorney.  No one gets a heads up that they are going to get arrested, and no one gets to pay their way out of it.  No scummy pretend debt collectors issues or deals with warrants.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
