Debt collector

this paperwork is not for us and they keep wanting to delivery it to our house. The person they are for does not live at our house. They will not stop calling.

These people or agency has been calling me at my job every month letting me know  that the police will show up at my job to collect or to give me a summons for two months this has been happening, and they want to know information on me. I do not give any information over the phone to anyone.

A John Abees called saying they would be on the property between 9 and Noon with papers, he knew my first name and gave my address. Said if I wanted to know anything more other than the particulars, I needed to call 888-977-7402 ext. 24792.
So I called and a woman answered "Corporate Offices". I asked what corporate offices and she said "VMG Group". She asked if I had a case number. I told her no that I had received a call that left this number. She asked if I knew a Lori. I said no, and she said that it was a wrong number and hung up on me. I called back and said that we had accidentally been disconnected and she put me on hold.

I have had the same problems...

I got a call a week ago and these "papers" were never delivered. I got a call again today and when I mentioned they never came last week they said there was a "hold" placed on the account. Perhaps because I called the 213-973-9174 number and was told it was in regards to a friend of mine, somebody who does not live anywhere near me. This week they gave me a different reference number to call, 888-973-9174 but this week the case number they gave me now has two extra letters and numbers-odd you would think that type of thing wouldn't change (if it was real).. I called the new number today it was the same woman who also answered "Corporate Offices" of the BM group.

Same problem as everyone else except the call was for my mom. The lady "Susan Blackman" answered corporate offices. Apparently, the sheriff will be at my house between 9 - 12 to deliver papers. She was VERY rude!

How stupid could they be threathing people over the phone.

These people are crazy, a man called with a anonymous private number he said he had a summons for me. There is no reason for a summons, I haven't done anything illegal?? I asked what's this all about , he replied,  I don't know but you can call this  # and here is the case  #. I am sheduled to be at your house  on Friday between 1pm to 4 pm. Before I could call, my nieghbor called me and said a man wanted to know where I lived, then asked where he lived. How did he know his phone  # are they hacking into my phone? he gave my nieghbor the same number  and  case #.  They wanted him to take papers to the park manager , he told him it's none of his business.  Niether he or I have any reason to be involved in this. Today a message on the phone saying the same thing and if I did not call back in 24 hrs he would be at my address.
This is harassment at it's best. I guess he hasn't heard of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act . Ask for the full name of the attorney who will be taking action againest you, and his license # in the state bar association. You will then be calling to verify. There is a statute of limitations for credit debt,which is the amount of time they can successfully take legal action against you for the debt. This time period varies for each state...  Google for all states.
