I was online and I notice that on 8/23/09 my checking account was billed for $197.00 by autoaffiliates which I do not recognize nor ordered any from this company. Please refund this immediately to my bank account. Thank you.

The company seems to be busy ripping us off. - Autoaffiliate charging amounts from $97....$197 without our knowledge. I'm getting sick of these scams and they want us to go paperless? How can we be so open and vulnerable and we update all the time spending more money PC protection.
Just one time I would like to hear about a poor soul and his family won,
inherited or some type of happiness with no strings.

Why do we only hear warnings?
But never any headline news "CYBER-RATS" busted!!!
"Hackers Hacked","squirmy worms exterminated" to many to mention.
Oh well this has been the second time for me and third time is a charm.

I had the same charge of $197.00 come out on my unemployment insurance debit card. It is being disputed and I plan to cancel the card and get a new account a.s.a.p. The banks need to get active in tracing this fraud company...!

any one know how this charge is generated?  is it from a particular website?  Maybe we should start putting on the site we recently visited before the charge.  I was doing a few free trials on wholesale/retail websites, and build your own stores.  Maybe stay away from these.  I was charged 198.58

I don't know if I got a call from this number, but this number is associated with a $197 draw and now subsequent draws. I reported to my bank, even explaining how this info was all over the internet, and that the phone number was bogus, and that I have no call of giving them a number or making any purchase through them. Their answer was as follows:
"The question for the dispute will be did you provide your sixteen digit card number to them for payment?  Simply finding the merchant on a rip-off report website does not affect the dispute process with Visa.
Per Visa guidelines, if you never provided your sixteen-digit card number to this merchant, please contact us immediately by phone to have your card blocked.  A new, 16-digit card number would then be issued in your name and mailed to the address of record on your account.

I have a great credit union that thought the charge looked suspicious from yesterday.  They called me.
We have determined it is fraudulent and that it probably came from online activity of me checking in to "work at home opportunities".  So far, these all seem to be scams.  Sad to say that but true.

    Auto Affiliate for $197
One for getting info online for $2.95
and another for 7.95.  Price seems fair until they steal your number!

I'm also a victim of fraud, $197 from datadirect and $7.95 from autoaffiliat. I never heard of them until I noticed them on my bank statement. Somehow they stole my credit card number and made a chk card purchase for the amount above. I'm having them investigated by the bank that issured my credit card and will prosecute. Please dispute the charges and let your bank investigated and agree that you will prosecute. We need to get our money back and put these individuals put behind bars.

I had the same situation happen:

    1 charge of $7.95
    1 charge of $197

Thankfully my bank alerted me of these charges, saying they were irregular and called them fraudulent.  I am in total agreement to prosecute and putting them behind bars.  This is ridiculous that these scams continue on...

The same scam of $197.00 showed up on my Visa card also.  My bank called to alert me and question the charge. I'm sick to death of these computer geek scams stealing supposidly secure sites.  This the 4th time I've had to close my cc account.  Maybe one of the former note writers is correct and we should skip the paperless systems totally.  I'm tired of this cr__p!  Throw the scumbags in jail --out in the desert--in a tent!!!!
