CPS called and left a message regarding some energy savings competition.

yes it is CPS energy leaving pre recorded message.  This number may also be the one used for warning of rolling blackouts so do not block it.

CPS Energy contacting you regarding energy saving tips. I contacted CPS energy and its a legitimate phone number used to educate CPS energy customers during peak usage months.

This is from CPS notifiing of a "reduce my use" day.  They are trying to get customers to learn how to get smart on reducing your electrical demands during peak usage time.

Have gotten calls from this number a few times but this is the first time they have left a message. It was CPS letting me know this is a "peak energy day" and they want customers to "take steps to reduce energy".

Caller ID said unknown, but they left a voicemail saying it was CPS Energy. It was a peak energy demand day, asking you to reduce your energy.

Got 2 anonymous unsolicited calls from TOLL FREE CALL no messages were left.

Two messages w/of leaving a voice message on my cell!!

The energy savings results from CPS energy,  but my question is why would you include someone's unit that inhabited,  i.e. without current dwellers!? First place is "someone" who  used 0.143 kWh!? Right....  I'm 26 of 100 @2.224 kWh.
It's not accurate!  How is that "person" in the top spot!? Inquiring  minds wants to know!?

It's CPS Energy. They don;t leave a message when you don't answer but when you do, an automated message about the latest on their Power Player program will play. The message is actually very useful, sometimes it will be about informing you to help lower the system demand by limiting your use during the peak hours.

I received a call from this number today, and I am in Canada, so an electrical company in Texas should not be calling me.

No phone ID to allow dirtbags to call and expect your to pick up.

People who think this is a scam are wrong you or somebody in your household or somebody who knows your phone or your electric company signed you up  To receive information about your energy usage it is supposed to be helpful. IT IS NOT A SCAM.  The only way to get this call is if you sign up for it. Again, it is part of a program to help people understand their energy usage.  I signed up for it and I get these calls I believe if you listen to the whole call there may be an option at the end to opt out. Or simply go to the energy company website and look for information about how to stop getting the calls or call them and ask them how to opt out.

It could also be a scammer spoofing the number.
And why are you even here? You already know who called you so there's no logical reason for you to look up the phone number.
