I received a message stating that there is a case against me. I will be sent to court for failing to pay on a debt but I can clear it up by calling back and settle it over the phone. I know that I have debts to pay but I usually receive a statement of account by the mail. Isn't a court summons usually sent by certified mail first?

I recieved a call from the same people yesterday they are a online pay day loan debt collection well suppose to be.The guy was really rude and was trying to get me to use a visa debit card I told
Him I didn't have one he said if I didn't pay the 200.00 dollars over the phone he was sending locaters out to find me and take me to court and I would go to jail. I never once verified any information over the phone I wanted it in writing he said he wasn't sending anything so he really got irate and said he was going to do what needs to be done I said ok .

No legitimate process server calls ahead to warn a person that they are about to be served.  That would be rather counterproductive!  They are trying to scare you into paying money that you probably don't owe, and even if you did owe, it wouldn't be to these scammers.
