- Gypsyboy| 2 repliesI just got this number on my display a moment ago. I didn't answer. I never answer any more unless I know who is calling and why. I expect they just want to remind me I haven't topped up in a while. Well, duh!! Gee, I wondered why my phone didn't work any more. I know I haven't topped up! Why don't they find something better to do than bother people at home?
- Ben replies to MarieIt is Virgin. I've sent a request to them by email and they were calling to answer my question. Hope it help.
- killerAt least Virgin calls and tells you who they are strait off the bat.
I hate these other companies that call all night and either hang up or try to rip you off by lies and deception. - SlakmanCall from Virgin Mobile Canada tech. support letting me know they resolved my issue and wanted to confirm that all have been resolved correctly.

- they said it was the machine!| 6 repliesI got called twice in 1/2 hour from 888 999 2321 and I got a silence then a busy signal... twice!
So I check on the net and it gives me this site stating the call is from VIRGIN. I decide to call their lean and mean custumer call center to speak to someone about my experience.
Here is how it goes:
V:Hello thank you for calling Virgin mobile blalalala...
Me: Hi, I just got called twice from this number and I get shouted at by a busy signal, annoying I may say. It happenned in the last 30 min.
V: Are you or a member of your family a Virgin customer?
Me: Yeah, my bro.
V: can we speak to him
Me: no, he is at school. But I would be surprise its for him he has a pre paid plan therefore does not need to be collected!
V: he might have placed a service call!
Me: oh, well call him on his cell because this is the house phone and he is never there and I get the machine to shout at me.
(hold on a second we are not dealing with the issue here!!!)
Me: so let's say I do not have a customer of virgin under my roof, what do we do with your angry busy signal that shouts at me in my house!
V: well I can place a service call and you will have the techinician to come and have a look at your house phone.
Me: ... heuu.... wait, my phone works fine, and it is not a virgin its a landline and beyond that the problem is not on my side I get calls from this number, the one I am talking to you on, the one I dialed to be having this conversation... I want it to stop calling here.
V: I do not know what to say ma'am! Can you hold the line for a sec I'll ask some here.
(stupid music, few seconds later...)
V: thank you for holding... so there is nothing we can do unless you want us to send a technician.
That is when I offered to speak English to her as we are conversing in French and she clearly misunderstood the nature of my call!
I tried to explain once more that I would not be so upset if Virgin was to call me house, when I pick up endure a little delay before it connects to the custumer service person trying to contact us but no I get shouted at by a busy signal after enduring a little wait. I want it to stop.
....
Me: so, can you put me through the department for people experiencing angering situations with Virgins?
V; Oh, we do not have such department, this is only customer care and tech support.
Me: what are my other options before blowing a gasket to try to resolve this situation?
V: Have your brother call us.
....
I call my bro speak to him and he confirms denies having place a service email or call or contacting virgin in the last month!
Ring ring goes the phone right after I hang up... guess who it is.... VIRGIN!!!!
Oups but his time it connects and finally speaks to me, a machine a [***] machine again... telling my that a certain phone # has not been used for a while... blablabla...
this number is out a service for the last 12 month and Virgin is trying to have it put in service again.

- housewife replies to they said it was the machine!| 4 repliesWow, you're pretty angry over your brother getting a legitimate call from a company he does business with. He's a customer, they are ALLOWED to call and follow-up or let him know about new services. I've been a customer of Virgin Mobile for over 2 years and I've only had maybe 2 "courtesy calls" from them, letting me know about a new rate plan or a special offer. Meanwhile, my phone company (Bell-Aliant) calls multiple times a month trying to get me to change to a flat-rate long distance plan, even after they've been told not to call me with such offers. So, I think it's unfair to pick on Virgin for sending out an automated greeting once in a blue moon.
If you're so pi$$y about answering an unknown number, maybe you ought to get your brother to remove the landline from his Virgin account information so they won't give you a stress-induced heart attack, because you seem pretty bent out of shape over an automated call. If you didn't know the number and you have voicemail, why bother answering the call in the first place?
People like you are exactly the reason why a lot of customer service reps end up hating their job. You called to pick on a CSR over something they have NO control over (the automated announcement system)? Besides, YOU can call Virgin all you want and shout at them about calling your house, but as long as your brother has that number listed on his account information, they are entitled to call him there. [***] at your brother, not at Virgin. - PaigeLegit Virgin? What the Hell!?! I'm With Koodo! Not Virgin.

- Long goneVirgin is Bell. That tells you all you need to know. When I dumped Bell landline and net, Bell proceeded to harass my new nonVirgin cell voice mail so much I had to drop the VM. When my Virgin cell expired I dumped it too leaving bucks behind. Worth it to get out from under those b.....ds.

- Joshua replies to housewifeYou couldn't be anymore right about what you replied to ''they said it was a machine.'' I was a csr for VM and people be calling for the stupidest reasons. Yes, I said stupid, sue me. Sometimes I would sit down on my break and think ''Do they wake up in the morning thinking ''I shall call Virgin to pick on whoever answers the phone''?'' Seriously, I had that thought going thru my head so many times, until I decided to quit because it wasn't worth the headaches and the stress dealing with someone who probably doesnt even care the quality of service you are providing to them. Oh, well.
- carolyni am in europe and made arrangements to have texting available over here. i get here and find out there is no service available and emailed virgin mobile. they advised i call their customer service center . they can't read I HAVE NO PHONE SERVICE.
- JaneKeep phoning and leaving the message.............."I'm busy right now I'll call you back later." Called them back from my land line as call took over 10 minutes and I am on a pay as you go service. Obviously a ploy to make me waste my emergency call time. Thanks a lot Virgin..........guess I can SUE YOU when I'm out of minutes and broken down on the side of a highway and get hurt because my phone is out of time and/or charge.

- GrammaSaid calling to tell of offers available. Told him I could get all that info online in my account. Waste of his time and mine.
I don't accept offers over the phone. Asked if I wanted to add second line. Virgin already has all the info about my account and how many lines I have. (2) Didn't believe it was really Virgin, but maybe it was.- Caller: Virgin
