This is a scam. Beware. If the number appears on your phone bill contact your local phone company.

I have $584 worth of these charges on my bill between 11pm-6am. Noone in my house made these calls and I do not have an answering service.

I contacted Bell and they reversed the charges after looking into it.

I did contact bell.  They said there is nothing can do about it and it is a number used for entertainment purposes (games, etc...) and it has to be paid as the call was originated from my phone

I have received several charges from this billing number and have had success with ma bell in having them removed from my bill. Why is this allowed and how is it happening? Sometimes the extra billing amounts to alomost $100. On my bill it is listed as DAOPAY. Who is this?

Look at the DAOPAY website.  This so called company has set up a way to bill on line purchases to a phone number... most likely gambling, gaming crap.  There doesn't appear to be any way that they are verfying if the purchase is authorized.  This should be illegal but probably some stupid loop hole.
Bell should be able to DAK calls off your bill.  Deny all knowledge and send them back.  These are not even phone calls but purchases!!!!

This is a company where people MUST impliment the phone call from their landline or cell phone..When calling this number you are paying for "cash" to purchase items for things such as Farmtown, Farmville and other on line games..The ONLY way this would be on your telephone bill is if someone or yourself called the number directly to make a purchase since this number is NOT a telemarketer and will NOT call anyone directly.I have several friends who call this company on a reg. basis (or their kids) to purhase items for on line entertainment. You may not have called it yourself but someone  (friends or family members) had to call for it to be on your phone bill.

Our company phone had a bunch of charges from this ###  Yet we have security cameras and knew for a fact no one was here to make the calls.  This is some kind of fraud or scam.. beware and report immediately!!!  They told us we must be here too.  Yet we are within earshot of one another... and there were several calls when the building was secure and locked.   NO WAY!!!

Just call the police, make a report.  Call back the carrier and let them know.  BELL told me the same thing, they couldn't do anything about it.  Does that make sense?  They rent out their billing system, they should be the ones to resolve these types of issues for their paying customers when a situation like this arises.

    DAOPAY, scammers!!

We just received a bill from our company account with $592.00 in charges. Allstream will not credit anything. We had to block all International calls from all 7 of our phone lines. This is ridiculous! We pay $1,000's of dollars a year for our phone lines and they can't help us....isnt' that just dandy...

    its called cramming
covered right here on 800notes since Nov 2008  16 Ways tYou can be phone scammed

11."Cramming": When monthly charges pop up on your telephone bill for optional services that you never authorized such as voice mail, paging, or club membership, it's called "cramming." You may be asked to return a missed call because it’s 'Your lucky day' and you’ve won a trip to Las Vegas. When the call is made, an automated system is activated and you are unknowingly enrolled in a club or program, and the charge is placed on your phone bill.

The crammer might not even need to do anything except simply pick your phone number out of the blue and place charges on your bill through your local telephone company, claiming that you agreed to purchase some services.

Look at your bill closely every month. Charges for optional services should be itemized and show the name of the company providing them and its phone number. If you did not authorize the services, call that number and insist that they be canceled and the charges removed from your bill.

Also, consider putting a third party block on your phone service. It's often free and it does not let any third party add charges to your phone bill.
