I have just recv'd a fax from this number and am completely appauled!  This fax states it has come from an active duty Marine named William Barnes, and is requesting our help in stashing some 11.5 million dollars that was abandoned in Kuwait!  This fax is covered in misuse of punctuation, random symbols, reference to our military, God, and idiocy!  It absolutely makes me want to vomit that anyone could be this sick and I just wish it were me that could find these people one day (preferrably in a dark alley)!  I write all this not only to vent my anger, but more in hopes that the sick jerks responsible will see this and KNOW I will take pleasure in your pain!  THESE (901) AREA CODES BILL YOUR PHONE COMPANY - SO BEWARE, DO NOT TRY TO CALL THEM BACK IT WILL COST HUNDREDS!

Just got this fax as well. I can't believe people would do this. The fax states that they can't use their family or friends. What makes them think that I would want to get involved then?

I know a few marines and they wouldn't be caught dead doing something so dishonorable!

Just got a fax from 901-339-7766 from a worm who calls himself William Barnes. This worm is no U.S. Marine and is most likely sitting in a dirt-floor shack in Nigeria somewhere making a living scamming people. As a veteran and former Air Cavalry sergeant I am sickened by this attempt. DO NOT respond to this piece of trash.

I just received a fax from 1-901-339-7766. I think these people are really sick in the head and I would hope that no one would fall for this uncalled for scam. GOD will pay them back for what they are doing.

I received a fax from someone calling himself William Barnes.  I think this is a disgusting thing for someone to do.  He is asking for help to do this "mission".  He is requesting either an e-mail or fax to a 901 number.  "We have worked the kinks out" my..... well you know what I'm saying.  They are looking to get your money, not give you money.

This is repulsive. Like we all who work truly have time to deal with this [***]. I think I'll forward this over to a local Marine base and see what they have to say about this garbage.

I received fax at 2:56am CT from Williams Barnes also. Is there someplace we can report this character?

I just can not belive that this is legal and is not prosecuted to fullest extend of the law it's incredible how it can just reach anyones home or place of business,whom ever generated this fax is should be cought and put in jail.

12:35 PM Thrusday 12/3/2009 - Just received the same fax you all are complainng about. MIne came thru eFax and says from phone # "00000". I'm a navy vet from a ship that carried marines, and I found it so repugnant i had to look for info on it. I just hope that no one gets caught up by this juvenile scam. Is there any place you can find out if people actually fall for this crap? Its surely from Nigeria, or some other country that routinely scams into the u.s. so we cant' touch em.

Our office just recieved this same fax.  It's funny- the time we recieved it was 10:23am Mtn Time and the fax time at the top states 9:23am and the area code for us to respond to is Tennessee which is not an hr behind us. so it appears this fax is coming from the West Coast/Pacific Time Zone.  What a bunch of idiots!

Just received "The Fax" at our office...are they serious? What nerds!

We also received this fax and are upset that there might actually be people out there that would be stupid enough to fall for this kind of scam.  If they do, they are getting what they deserve.  (Write back soon buddy?)  Really!!!  Do they think we really talk like that?

This just completely makes me angry!  I did call the Marines locally and forwarded a copy of this letter.  I doubt they can do very much about this since it is probably from some slimeball in Nigeria.  

I stand 100% behind our military and can guarantee this letter would NEVER be sent by our military personnel.  To dishonor our Marines in this way is just disgusting.

The same as above. Fax came in at around 0237hrs. on Dec. 7th 2009. Requests recipient's full name, address and phone number be emailed to william.barnes@infantry-marines.com or faxed to 901-339-7766

We just received this fax also.
I is sad that our guys and girls are out there serving our country and this idiot from Washington State is sending this crap out like this.

I found this fax on our machine when I came into work today.  I can't believe that anyone would be dumb enough to fall for this.  I'm angry that they think they can use a ruse like this.  It is shameful and disgraceful and I have faith this person will suffer for his deeds.

In the meantime, I would like to send this to some authority.  Any ideas?
