- SamA woman with a very strong accent and a poor connection called and was saying she had good news about something about being able to post my number for free. When she asked if I was the owner “of this business”, I asked what company she was representing and what exactly she was selling. She hung up right away.

- VladA male with a thick accent called and asked for "Gregory Paul" (or I think so- he spoke the name fast, even when I asked him to repeat it). I told him he had the wrong number. He said my number was registered to a business and then started to sell me a service where my business would be easily searchable by Siri and Alexa. I told him once again he had the wrong number and he asked if I owned any kind of business. I said "No, and I'm sure this is a scam". He quickly hung up after that.

- Chris| 1 replySame number, but different scam? A lady with a heavy Asian accent told me my son had a serious accident and was in the hospital. She needed his health card number and my credit card number to pay the “hospital fee” so he can get “emergency surgery”. I said that’s a great story since my son is upstairs in his room. These scammers are the scum of the earth. Prison is way too good of a punishment for them!

The post by "Julie" above recounts a similar call to yours, so there are reports for two different scams being made here.Chris wrote:Same number, but different scam?
It could be a single scam outfit running two scams, picking which one they think will work based on the information they have for the number they are calling. Or, it could be that two different scam outfits just happened to pick the same number to spoof. - JeffStrange call from a man wirh a strong accent (maybe Indian or Pakistani). He said he was offering a service that could put my business at the top of any Google search. He wouldn't say who he was and kept getting more insistent that it was already set up for me and I just needed to confirm some business and personal information. I just hung up on him.
