Robocall: “Hello.  The reason for this call is to inform you the CRA is filing lawsuit against you.   Press 1 immediately to speak with a CRA legal settlement specialist.”  I guess it’s tax time, so we should expect lots of these kinds of scam messages.

Same robocall received earlier today. CRA doesn’t call people threatening lawsuits.

This out of province number left a voice-mail earlier this evening saying the CRA was going to file a lawsuit against me and to press 1 to speak to a settlement agent. The CRA occasionally has to issue warning about these types of scam calls. People should just hang up or ignore any messages they get.

I received the same robocall. If it wasn’t obvious enough it’s a scam the fact that “the CRA” are calling on a public holiday should be a give away.

This was a scam robocall, female voice, saying it was the CRA notifying me that a lawsuit was being filed. I could avoid the lawsuit by pressing 1 and speak to an agent.
