- VladI answered the phone because I was expecting a call from someone with a similar number. The person on the other end said "hello" and then there was a slight pause. The person then identified themselves as Sam and asked if I was "having a lovely day" and if I was enjoying my Bell services. I told them I wasn't a Bell customer to which he laughed and asked if I was a Virgin Mobile customer. I told him no and he laughed again, said "have a great day sir" and then hung up. This was probably one of those Bell Canada/Bell Mobile discount scams.

- AidenI got a call from "Mike" who asked me if I was "having a pleasant day" and if I was satisfied with my services with Bell. I said I was and he said he had "great news" for me. Because of my loyalty he could offer a "special one time only for today deal" of 25% off my monthly bill and a new phone of my choice. All I needed to do was confirm my date of birth, home address, and billing information. When I asked why I needed to give him this, he said it was to confirm that he was talking to the right person and for my own security. He also said this was a "exclusive deal" which was why I won't find it on the Bell website or get it if I called the regular customer service number. It definitely was very suspicious and when I said I wasn't comfortable with what he was telling me, he said "thank you for your time, have a nice day sir" and hung up.

- MorrisSame as others: I got a call from someone who asked some really odd questions about how my day was going before asking if I was happy with my Bell services. It was just a really strange call and I hung up without engaging any further.

- Robert DHad a VERY odd call from Brad to this evening. He had some kind of middle eastern accent and greeted me by name and asked “Are you having a beautiful Christmas season?”. He then asked if I was enjoying my Bell services and when I said I was, he said “Great news! Bell has an early Christmas gift for you!”. He then asked for my full name, date of birth, and mailing address. By now I knew this was a scam so I called him out on it and hung up. This was obviously an attempt to get my personal information.

- Big TrentSomeone claiming they were from Bell and he said could offer me an exclusive deal on my cell phone package. I said I wasn’t a Bell customer and he apologized and asked if I was a Virgin Plus customer. When I said no he wished me a good day and hung up. If this wasn’t a scam call I don’t know what is.

- RichardAn overly friendly man called asking about my satisfaction with my Bell services. I’m not a Bell customer so I just hung up on him while he was still talking to me. It was a fairly obvious scam call.

- Bruce EldwinI was immediately suspicious when I got a call from a number in a province I don’t live in. Some guy who was way too friendly offered me a 50% discount on my cell bill in exchange for confirming my name and updating my payment information. I knew this was a scam right away so I wasted a bunch of time by asking him to explain details, repeating dumb questions etc. When I finally gave him my name I said my last name was “Freely” and I use the initials “I.P.” for my first name. After a slight pause, he swore at me and hung up. Most enjoyable phone call I’ve had in quite some time lol!

- Tony HarringtonWhen I answered a male caller greeted me by my first name and said “I hope you are having a wonderful evening” before saying he was from Bell asking me if I was happy with their services. I said I was and then he offered to reduce my cell bill by $50 a month and give me a new iPhone as a loyalty reward. The old saying “if it’s too good to be true” came to mind and I got suspicious when he started to ask for my personal information to “confirm” my account. He tried to reassure me by calling me “friend” many times but I told him I wasn’t interested in giving him my information. I called Bell directly and they told me calls like this are indeed a scam.

- SammyA very friendly man calling himself Mike wished me a happy weekend before offering me a huge discount on my Bell cell phone account. He wanted me to confirm a whole bunch of personal information and didn't give me a good reason why he needed this if he was calling from Bell so I just hung up on him and blocked the number after he tried calling me back.

- Anonymous"Mike" from "Bell* greeted me by name and said he was calling to ask if I was happy with the price I'm paying because Bell has heard a lot of concerns from their customers about high prices. I said everything was fine and he immediately told me he had a special offer for me (50% off my monthly bill) if I could just confirm my address, SIN, and payment information. By this point, I disconnected the call. I came to this site and this confirmed my suspicions.
