calls and asks for credit card info, but gives no info

I was called this morning 12/20/08 at 8:00a.  Automated voice said it was my bank  and that there was a security breach and asked for my credit card number -to verify.  Jeez - what a scam.

I got a call about suspicious activity on my F&M Bank credit card.....only I don't have one with that bank....LOL  I did a reverse look-up of the number and whitepages.com says it's out of Jacksonville, FL.  I tried calling the number to see if there was any possibility it was legit, it went immediately to voicemail...and the message said the mailbox was full.

904-371-3674 is definitely representing a FRAUD. No credit cards in our household list the number they are calling. They also call from 210 area codes out of Tx. e.g. 210-858-5332 and 210-858-5711.

Please be careful, do not give them any personal information, do not call them back, etc. Just check your credit card statements for pending transactions (if you are the worrying type) OR just call your CC's 800 number. If there is a security breach on your card, you will be transferred right away to someone in the security department. PLUS, a CC company ALWAYS identifies themselves upfront.

I received a call at 11:30 on 12/20/2008 and when I answered, all I got was several beeps a few seconds apart, so I hung up.
