- Austin, TXSame story. "Stan Marshall" called. Beligerent, rude and horribly aggressive. Like others here, he picked the wrong woman to try and intimidate. I was a paralegal for 29 years, so not bloody likely I fell for this. I am calling the Economic Crimes Division, but here is the mailing address as well:
Economic Crimes Division
Office of the Attorney General

Suite 405

I'd suggest calling and writing.
Good luck to us all.- Call type: Debt collector

- Annoyed replies to meSame here. . A Brian Davis has called me 2 times in two days already. He has a strong middle eastern accent and was practically yelling into the phone. I just let it go to voicemail and blocked the number.
- pjacoMy daughter received a phone call from this number. She didn't recognize it so she didn't answer. They left a voicemail stating the name "Brian Davis" and a law firm which she couldn't make out because of the thick heavy accent. The individual calling was a woman who stated I was a primary suspect in a case being "downloaded" to my name and social security number. If I don't recognize a number, I always google it and I'm glad I did this time. Even though I knew I hadn't done anything wrong it's still a little intimidating when someone calls and threatens legal action and especially when they involve your family. After reading these reports I immediately logged onto the FTC website and filed a complaint. I suggest anyone who receives a call from this number do the same!
- ffffffWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this guy is crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! man if he was in front of me i would let him have it.........middle eastern accent saying something about a loan & that i had a warrent for my arrest............Im a son of the living God,...he dont know who he messing with.......................
- KenzieMy husband received a phone call today from a man claiming to be det. Roger Hardy. This man told my husband he was trying to reach me concerning an urgent matter and financial fraud. He told my husband that there was a law suit against me. I called the number back and the man answered the phone "hello". When I asked him for his name he identified himself as officer Roger Hardy. He told me that by federal law he was recording the conversation and I needed an attorney. He told me that I needed to come to Miami FL for my court appearance. He was very rude and told me that he would send someone to my home to pick me up and that is how serious of a matter it was. This man had a very heavy accent and claimed to be from Carlson Law firm. I told him that I believed that he was part of some sort of scam and he became very angry, made a few more threats and hung up on me. I called the Attorney Generals office and the Miami police dept. My husband also called the police dept. And they referred him to the FBI. The number he called from was 904-383-4379, so please beware of this person and report him immediately. The last time I checked it was not legal to identify yourself as an officer if you are not an officer.

- StopThe post above with from private has another number listed. I did a reverse search on that number and three names showed up associated with that phone number. My guess is that he forgot to alter his number before making that call. That is the number that needs to be sent to the police.

- SaintI just spoke with this guy after he left two vm's. I kept telling him (knowing this had to be a scam) that I had a real hard time with dialects and to please put someone on the phone with less of an accent. He put me on hold and then came back and disguised his voice. I told him that this accent was even harder to understand, could he please have someone call me back that spoke better English? Every time he said something I said, "No. Really. I'd be happy to talk with you, but I can't understand you." This drove him crazy. Finally he shouted "OKAY. BYE"
Someone needs to dupe him so law enforcement can snag him.

He told me that when he gets these types of calls, he just tells them to speak to his lawyer and gives them the local cable company's phone #. Me, I'm going to refer him to my police dept's non-emergency # (aka, my "lawyer") and have him explain this so called law suit to my police dept.
