won't leave me alone and they have the wrong number

Its a scam...for sure, says you have bad checks or something along the lines of that, threatens you to send money through moneygram....its bs

I received a very frightening call from this number, the person identified themself as a fraud investigator, and the agency was moving forward with court proceeding. They called my job at least 10 times in a row and even alerted the front desk that they were investigating me and I needed to call them back in 30 minutes.  I called the company back at the number provided.  I asked the receptionist what type of agency was this, and she said it was a line for multiple agencies.  I then asked to speak with T. Gibson and shared with him that I was about to lose my job because of the repeated telephone calls.  She connected me with T. Gibson who stated that I had just cursed and screamed at the receptionist.  I shared with him that reception had lied to him, cause I dont even curse.  He then put me on hold and came back to the telephone stating I was under investigation for a pay day loan that was not cleared through the bank last year some time.  I shared with him I did not remember and could he refresh my memory.  He was so rude each time I tried to get clarity, he stated I was being uncooperative, and he was goint to proceed with charging me with two felonies, and threatned to call the director of my program to share with her that I was under investigation.  By this time I was in tears.  I told him I work for a government agency and if the sheriff came to arrest me at my job I would be fired and then I would have not way of paying back the alleged debt I owe.  He still accuse me of being uncooperative, and I was trying to do is get clarity about what the call was concerning.  I then closed my mouth and I let him talk fast, and quote all these citations and felonies I was charged with.  I then told asked him what the bottom line was, and he stated I had and outstanding loan to a bank and I needed to make an obligation to pay the debt back.  I shared with him my hardship and why I could not pay on the day the call was made.  He then insisted that I was being uncooperative again, because I could not make a financial obligation.  I then told him if he could call me back on pay day maybe I could make arraignments.  He then stated he had to talk to the agency that they claimed I owe and they were willing to make arraignments for payment.  What started out as a $900 conversation turned out to be a $1400 conversation.  I am fearful right now, because I don't know what else to do. i was theartned over the phone that a sherriff would be dispacted to my job to arrest me for the felonies if I did not make and obligation.  I live in CA and have been impacted severely with my finances.  I owe everyone.  Can someone please advise me on what to do.  They need a financial committment on this Thursday and I cant afford to lose my job let alone go to jail for two felonies.  I did not think to ask for something in writing. Tearfully.....

It's all one HUGE scam.
These folks have hacked into various pdl sites.
You CANNOT be arrested for a civil debt.
Next call, tell them you've contacted the FBI
