- TONETHBONE replies to RichardNot necessarily
Hoem Depot and Sears and others use Citibank to administer their cards...The are, in actuality, Citibank
If you default..its Citibank who gets stuck with the bill - Annoyed| 1 replyCalled but left no message. Have no idea who it could have been.
- Caller: Citi?
- SK replies to JasonThis is a collection by Citi Group, My card was stolen a long with my wallet and I reported this and waited a new card and a form they said submitt to dispute any attempted charges by the theif. The person I call did not enter this information obviously because 3 months later I get calls, Oh by the way no statement was receive after I reported the card stolen Nor the form to dispute false charges showed up. Just a sudden wave of calls and emails that my account was badly in default. I tried to exsplain and even said please send me a current statement and will resume payment as I always have Its a smalll credit line and the monthly payments are only $20 and I was always on time. This guy from Citi would only accept a over the phone payment immediately to resolve my case. I refuse as I herd on the news to make any bill collector put it in writing what they clain you own and how much payment they will accept. Citi refuse to do this and just threaten me with ( Suing me ) Very Strange they would not send a current statement where I could resume payment in writng. I wish our Gorvernment would told them to take a hike when they wanted a bail out!

- Mel| 1 replyThey call on my cell phone asking for people I don't know. First someone named Jerry, then Terry? I tell them they have the wrong number/wrong person and they still keep calling and then want MY information. Why would I give my info. to someone who's calling a wrong number? Then they started sending text messages. Not sure how to get the point across to them that they have the wrong person and wrong number!

- Tin Liz| 1 replyI can block collection calls on my cell phone. Today Citi Cards used a new number and I had to block it. I now have 24 blocked numbers on my phone. I get calls seven days a week including holidays. This is abuse. The calls from HSBC have gone on since May 2010. According to Federal trade Commission, the caller has to provide you with the name and address of the person in the company who can stop these calls with a certified letter sent by the abusive caller. Do you think they would give this to me?? Absolutely not. I dont answer the calls because I am sure by this time they would be very nasty and would not give the information I need to stop the calls. Also the calls are recorded and I am not about to be on a recorded call. The FTC will not do a thing about this. They look for trends based upon complaints, but basically the law has no teeth.

- Tin Liz replies to MelI have not gotten text messages thank goodness. The calls keep coming anyway. I can wait them out because I have a Samsung phone to block numbers. I am without a job right now and they cannot garnish my wages from unemployment because my pay is below the limit that they can garnish my pay.
- Tin Liz replies to Tin LizCorrection--letter sent by caller who is getting tons of collection calls.
- Tin Liz replies to AnnoyedAbsolutely Citi Cards
- Tin Liz replies to Sacred Heart Medical Center-RiverBendAccording to the Federal Trade Commission, you can tell the collection caller to stop calling at your workplace. And the calls will stop.

- Caller: Citicards

- barkeepyep, it's collections for citibank. I found EIGHT calls today from this # when I got home. In my case they are wasting their time because I got laid off 9 months ago and since they kept running up the interest I will never pay them again. These crooked bankers made billions in profit last year while workers went broke and lost our homes.
