This is WEEDMAN, I called them back to check it out with of course a *67 before the number.
I called the local WEEDMAN and asked if they have a DO NOT CALL LIST and she said yes, I gave her my phone # and she said..OH, I see you have registered on the National(Canada) do not call list, we received this request as of June 2 and it will take a few days for it to kick in.  So, I told her I have received 8 calls from the "905" area code # in the past three days, make sure I don't get any more calls.   So.....maybe our registery does work??????
Time will tell!

They call form this number, , a answer, it beeps, than hangs up on me.
i call back, answering machine says 'closed for the holidays, call back in the new year after jan 3rd'
Well that was two weeks ago, they obviously have no idea how to run a reputable company, then in the message it says for immediate assistance press pound, which replays the same message over, but provides no assistance.  Im on the do not call list, and have called weedman head office twice in last two years ot be taken off the list, next move is to start calling them all the time, and hanging up, sometimes i am bored at work, and this would amuse me

Two months and these idiots are still calling. If I have ignored their calls for this long, don't you think that they would remove my number from their call list and call someone else. I sure am not going to sign up for what I think is weedman lawn care. Heck, I don't live anywhere near the 905 calling area.

i`ll paint you a picture of how they work. they have kids scour neighbor hoods for signature, some true and some forged as i`ve seen. these signatures get sent to the head office for there automated dialer to call non stop from 2pm to 830 pm by people who don`t care about the person on the other line but just getting a  sale so they hit the salesrooms quota. these are the people who are pushy and dont take no until the third time or more. they`ll call you 10 or more times. oh and the do not call list issomething they never use even though they say yeah i can put you on the list. what an invasion of privacy. sometimes people makes false sales that aren`t recorded like there dialer calls. i just hope one day some innocent tech doesn`t step onto someone`s proper and get shot for trespassing. this tech probably without proper licencing to apply there products since they`re go through employees more than a pancake house sells pancakes. i know because i`ve seen it & been apart of it.any questions, just ask.

As I was watching the Feb CBC Marketplace "Snake in the Grass" expose of Weed Man's mostly unethical and often illegal prospecting and customer service practices, my wife was obliging two begging teenage girls at the front door by signing a written request for an estimate! Sure enough a few days later came a sales pitch by phone during which my wife told the rep in very strong terms that we were not interested period and not to call again. Sure enough a second call the next day. Hope this complaint rids us of this snake in the grass!

They have called about 3 or 4 times a day every day for about a month.

They don't stop or give up.

Weedman calls 5 plus times a day and I have asked several times for them to stop but they keep calling

Yep, Weedman's been calling 3 times a day non stop for  months now. We've talked to several people and sent emails off but the calls still keep coming.

This is for Weedman in Surrey BC.

Anyone know of any legal action that can be taken?

Yes we have been getting calls, often two calls every other day for months now.
We tell them we are NOT interested but they keep calling.

I told the guy on the phone to quit calling that I am |NOT interested and I would never want to use Weedman's services as they HARASS people, then the guy says ,"Ok after I ask this one question, what are you doing for lawn care this year?"  
The people there are IDIOITS!!!

I am armed!  When they call again and I know they will, cause Weedman calls everyday,  I've got a whole list of things to say.  First, I'm going to tell the caller he/she is way too nice to work or such an unethical company.  Guilt.  Then I''m going to tell them that if they google 'weedman keeps calling' they'll see what a horrible rep that Weedman is getting over their excessive calling.  Then I'm going to tell the caller that now with their new found knowledge of lawncare they should apply at canadian tire, or Scotts and I'll tell them to go back to school and get a job they can be proud of.
Its not going to stop the calling, but I'm going to tell every telemarketer that calls here and maybe, just maybe it'll sink in, and no one will want to work for weedman.
I might even ask them, if they really think this way of marketing is effective, and if theytruly  believe that people will eventually say yes because they've been called and called and called, then they really need to think again.

We do not talk or sign anything at the door.  We do use weedman in London  not in Dundas Ontario it is out of the area for us.  I f I call they will continue to call us Not a happy customer.  If you complain on their web site on facebook the facebook people block you for 4 days and tell you your messages are SPAM maybe we should send the calls to facebook eh.

these people have repeaedly harrassed me calling me over and over again, even after i spoke to their supervisor and then THEIR SUPERVISOR THEY WILL NOT STOP.  i told them i was reporting them tothe better businees bureau .    Guess What ? that was a few weeks back and i had 3 more calls and they stopped.   TODAY they started again!!!! NOW this is war!!!!!

My experience has not been very good with Weedman....  I have gotten billed for services that I did not even receive...I have told them to stop coming and then the next day I will get a bill for services.  In fact they billed me for a negotiated price for aeration that they never did (like I won't notice).   They have called me several times telling me that they have seen a rise in the number of june bugs and that means that my lawn should be treated for grubs..... I have to really laugh at that... I have lived her 6 years and yes there was a rise in June bugs...lol.. I actually saw one this year...... that is a 100% increase in the population...

I feel totally harassed.  These people will not stop calling our house.

These idiots are relentless.  I told them 2 1/2 years ago that I moved from a house to a hi-rise condo.  Well, they keep calling me now.  I have called them emailed them (no response there).  I will give them one more chance to stop and then I will report them to the BBB which is what I think everyone should do.

I just recently hired at the Hamilton location. Haven't started yet but I'm getting nervous after reading all these posts. Did you work at the location? Should I be running?
