I got a check in the mail for $998.86 along with a letter saying I have won $8,000. It says to call this number for further instructions on how to claim. Looks like a scam.....

I received the same letter and check. I was put on hold when I called them and finally hung up.

I got this check too and called the number. I told the person that answered that I knew it was a scam and I was reporting the letter to authorities. She responded with a timid,"Okay." I then hung up.
