I didn't receive a call, but I almost fell victim to this scam.

The address: 544 Mcforest Drive, Ontario, Canada

The bank name on check: Ouachita Valley, Federal Credit Union
The number to call after i sent the money gram: 905-598-1762

Background information:

I was sent a check on May 13, 2008. Its was in the amount of 4,850.00 to be a secret shopper for Walmart. The so called steps i was supposed to take were; Go to my bank and cash this check, Go to any Walmart and send a money gram to a woman named Anne Marie Jones( they did not provide an address or a way of getting this money to her), and call them with the receipt number so i can complete a survey. 4200.00 was to be sent to her,512.00 was for me to keep, and the rest of the monies were for fees assessed for sending the money order.

The check appeared to be real. It had a water mark and was actually signed by a pen. The reason i realized this was a scam when i check the address they provided and it did not exist. Also the links they provided as proof that were real, didnt know anything about them and consultant.com is not a real site(its something like a search engine). And the letter they sent had numerous grammatical errors, I mean very obvious errors.

Please don't be fooled by this scam. I will be taking this check to the bank tomorrow so they can investigate it.
